Hello, I am new to this and I wanted to know if someone can tell me how I may obtain( through purchase) copies of the these Korean Dramas Emperor Wang Guhn, Dawn of the empire and Age of Warriors. I found the Yi Soon Shin and read the threads about not getting the whole series (that sucks).
Please help me, I must have these series at home. Or if they will be running the series again so I can record them.

Hi Tika,
Welcome to the Chicago K-Drama fanclub. Though many of us are not from Chicago, it just so happens that this is the largest of the online fanclubs. Our shared enthusiasm draws us together on this site.
I'm sure that some others will supply with more useful information but you may want to try yesasia.com. You will find some of what you are looking for there.
Unfortunately it is unlikely that you will ever find Emperor Wang Guhn or Dawn of the Empire. Age of Warriors might be out there, but Yi Soon Shin is the first of those you mentioned that I know to be available in it's entirety.
As I've said there are others in the fanclub who will be able to help you more than I can. Having said that, I wish you the best in your search. Do share your journey and findings with us if you have the chance.

You can search ebay for Korean dramas. Be sure to check the user reviews on the seller and the small print for any item before committing to a purchase. I have Emperor of the Sea from ebay and it has no problems and the subtitles are fine. I agree that the long run series may not be possible to find or would be very expensive. Good luck and keep us informed if you have better luck.

Tika, I just joined this forum. Have you had any luck in finding a site to purchase King Wang Guhn? The only place that I have found even to watch this 200 episode series is at KBS E-store. They will let you download each episode for $6.00. It does not take long to do the math on that. Too rich for me. My wife and I were watching the series in 2001 from a Korean rental store then we moved back to our home state and we havent been able to find it anywhere except at KBS. GOOD FORTUNE!!!. offgrid.

I thought maybe offgrid had access to a secret page or something. ;D The good news is that I have made friends with the Director of Content for KBS America. I e-mailed him and let him know that there are a lot of people who would be interested in owning EWG and asked if they plan to release it. I will let you know when he responds. |

Lol,
Bo you aren't the only one. The only difference is that in my case I'd probably be rightly termed a "laughing fool" as opposed to "laughing like" one. Know that you aren't too far from a fool when you post near me in these threads.

After a long search through google I've finally found someone that is selling the entire "Age of Warriors" drama on dvd. This person is also selling the complete set for older series like "Emperor Wang Guhn" and "Dawn of the Empire". Send me a private message if your seriously interested and I'll give you his contact. Thought I would share this information with all you fellow korean drama fans after years of personally looking for them myself.
