I have come to notice that the beard styles vary, yet still deliver a decorative impact in the personality of the men in the show. I have found it's not easy to sculpt a really good representation of an AOW beard & mustache. One thing I've noticed is it trims better from back to front. Of course, most of the moustaches are fake, but I think they add to the personality anyway. One thing is, my gray isn't in the middle. Am I the only guy trying out this style beard?

I have a small beard, although I did attempt to grow it in recently, with some measure of success. I'm not sure my boss enjoyed the idea.
My hope was to emulate the beard of Park Sulhee on the Wang Guhn series. (It's okay for me to tell you this since I've already given myself away as a raving EWG fan).

i don't know that many people who even HAVE beards... Really? I guess as a geologist, a very large number of my friends have very full beards. Now it is true NONE of these folks are of Asian decent, but....I am in fact capable of growing one, if I chose, but my wife shares your dislike of facial hair (when I was single I found there to be very clear and different cultural preferences with regard to facial hair from women of different Asian cultural heritages--for example, my wife is the first woman I ever met of Japanese decent who DIDN'T want me to grow my mustache back). I grew a very nice goatee once using the excuse that it was the last chance I had before too much gray showed up in it. I kind of liked the look, but repeated requests from my wife to annihilate it had to eventually be heeded. Now, were I to try again, any facial hair would be very heavily flecked with gray, and since my hair on top is still pretty much jet black, I'd prefer to keep the gray concealed for now.
