At the Archfiend's northern encampment, Duduel looked into the stars and saw one that he had necer noticed before - it was small, but it showed the promise of prominence. A new power grows in the south, he thought to himself. These two stars will either brighten the heavens together or they will compete for a place in it. After informing Ui Min of a possible threat in the imperial city, Duduel departed the Imperial dragon camp.

Princess Su An was taking a walk in the palace courtyard when she felt a hand on her shoulder. Whirling around, she found herself looking into Chung Kyun's smiling face. Slapping his hand off her shoulder indignantly, she shouted, "How dare you lay a hand on a member of the Imperial House?!" Chung's smile quickly converted intself into a smirk. "You're looking lovely today, Princess," he told her. Su An tried to walk away but Chung Kyun grabbed her arm again, harder than he had previously. Her attendant stepped forward. "What is this impudence? Release the Princess at once!" Turning with an exasperated sigh, Chung gave the attendant a sharp backhanded slap, bringing her to her knees. "Stay out of this" he told her coldly. Infuriated by his complete lack of deference, Su An raised her hand to slap him, but he caught her wrist in mid air. As she struggled to free herself, he pulled her closer and said, "I've never had a royal wench before...I wonder if it would be any different than a common geisha." Su An was starting to become frightened. Before the cocky chung could make any additionally inappropriate comments, a loud voice came from behind. "Chung Kyun! Release the Princess at once!"
