(( Hey, I thought with all the excitement in the Archfiend fanfiction, there could be a second one as well. ))
Plot Line: The year is 1179, Chung Ju-Bu and the rest of the Chung clan have been destroyed by Kyung Dae-Seung and Huh Seung. The Archfiend is still in the north, in the mountanous areas of Koryo, and Choe Choong-hon is in the southwest of Koryo with his clan.
The point of this plotline is like the three kingdoms of Korea and China in the past. The Archfiend with Shilla in the North, Kyung Dae-Seung with Koryo in the central plains, and Choe Choong-hon in the southwest with Bakjae. I'd love input along the way!
And here we go...
Kyung Dae-Seung stands outside of the Imperial Chambers of the Koryo palace. Not too long ago, he had destroyed Chung Kyun and the son-in-law Song Yu-In. It was just an hour ago that Chung Ju-Bu was executed for high treason. Now, it was his job to make sure that never happened again.
One of the palace doors opened and Attendent Cho came out and went to Kyung Dae-Seung. "The Emperor will see you now, General Kyung." Kyung Dae-Seung bows before Attendent Cho and sees the palace doors leading to the Imperial Chambers open, giving him full view of the Emperor sitting upon his throne, blessed in full golden garment.
As Kyung walked through the scores of ministers that aligned the sides of the walkway, he noticed General Du in his noncomplacent look. Kyung remembers the discussion he had had with him before the actual raid on the Chungs. "If there were two suns in the sky, what would you do?" he had asked. "I would shoot the offending sun out of the sky with this bow." he had replied.
He reaced the head of the walkway, leaving only the Emperor, Crown Prince and the Princess before him. His eyes gave a look over at Princess Su-an. "Oh, Princess..." Slowly, Kyung decends before the Emperor, placing his head on the palace carpet three times before staying in a seated bow position.
"General Kyung Dae-Seung..." started the Emperor. ~Finally, we will have peace in the regime.~ thought the Emperor. ~I have been sitting on the throne for nine years and I have born witness to too many insurections and uprisings. From Yi Ui-Bang to Chung Ju-Bu, these villianous officials have used me and the throne to get what they desired. But, this man, Kyung Dae-Seung, he has put an end to my fears.~
"General Kyung Dae-Seung, you have destroyed a villanious offical and his clan. You have put the Empire at ease, and you have given a breath of fresh air to this palace."
"Emperor...." is all the Kyung Dae-Seung could muster.
The Emperor smiled... smiled geuinely for the first time in what had seemed to be forever. "Kyung Dae-Seung, it is by the will of the Emperor that you be awarded the title of Byuksang Merit Subject and taken the position of Imperial Guardian, to continue your service protecting the Imperial House."
"Emperor, I...." Kyung Dae-Seung stammered.
The Emperor raised his hand. "This is not a request, General Kyung. I am giving you a decree."
Kyung Dae-Seung's eyes welled up in tears. "Emperor, your grace is immesurable. He bowed before the Emperor three times once more and stayed in the sitting position.
The Emperor allowed a small chuckle. ~Kyung Dae-Seung, you have saved the Imperial House and you have saved me...~ "Arise, Byuksang Merit Subject Imperial Guardian Kyung Dae-Seung." Slowly, Kyung arose, the tears still visible on his face.
"This meeting is adjourned!" With that, the Emperor, Crown Prince, and the older princess left the Chamber. Princess Su-an however, stayed behind and stared at Kyung Dae-Seung. ~My love... now is the perfect time... for us to be together.~ she thought.
All was not rosy however, as the members of the Central Committee showed. From Minister Choi to Minister Yim, they all showed signs of disaffection. Minister Moon however was beaming from ear to ear. ~This is the man who will save the regime.~ he thought to himself.
Slowly, the rest of the ministers left the chamber, leaving only Kyung Dae-Seung standing before the throne. "His Majesty.... has given me more than I could ever desire." He bows before the empty throne and leaves the palace. Once his leaves the confines of the palace, he hears the cheers coming from the villagers of the Imperial City. "Cheers for the Imperial Guardian! Cheers for Kyung Dae-Seung."
He raises his hand to quell the celebration. "People of Koryo, listen to me. It was not I who saved the regime, but our beloved Emperor. Please, I beg you, direct your cheers to him." With that, Kyung faces the palace and cheers. "One thousand years for the Emperor!" Soon, all of the villagers cheered along with him.
The chorus of cheers was so loud that the Emperor could hear it from his chambers. "One thousand years for the Emperor!" he could hear reverbarated from within the walls. He smiled and laughed loudly, thinking that his troubles were finally coming to a close.
Meanwhile, in the North....
(So, what do you think? I could use as much input as possible! ;D)
