hello kolaleh, Thanks so much for your compliments I'm very glad you liked my trailer. I sent a DVD containing my DJG trailers to Sue Deeks at the BBC. Unfortunately, still no response. I will just have to keep trying and write to BBC again....and again... How is Dae Jang Geum doing in Iran? Has it finished airing yet? Do they call it 'Dae Jang Geum', or 'Jewel in the Palace'? Sorry.... I ask too many questions I'm just very curious ;D Bye for now! Love, Yunyun

According to latest MBC rport, Dae Janggeum is mesmerizing Iranians now. Practically every Iranian (90%) is watching the drama.
An Iranian professor said that he was surprised there is so much similarity between old Iranian culture and old Korean culture.
The drama is greatly contributing to surging "Korean Wave" in Iran, along with Korean cars and electronics.

Exploding popularity of DJG in Iran has led to Lee Young-ae and Ji Jin-hee becoming the most recognizable Asian stars in that country and the Middle East. (DJG was also shown in Egypt.)
Perhaps it was due to it that the notorious Al-jazeera network sent a correspondent to Seoul last month to interview Lee Young-ae. LOL.

DJG is shown during the prime time(from 8 p.m.) on Fridays (corresponding to Sundays of the west). And it was reported that streets of Iranian cities including Tehran, the capital, are practically deserted during that time. A dozen websites in Farsi (Iranian language) have sprung up, devoted to discussion of the drama but also of Korean culture in general. It seems that Iranians until now had a rather blurred idea of Korean and the Koreans and had hard time distinguishing them from other East Asians. But things are changing now. Koreans expatriates in Iran have been pleasantly surprised to find that cultural products like a drama are far more effective than good automobiles and electronics for changing a nation's perception of a foreign country.
