Hey, yun yun, good luck on your campaign! I (of course) voted yes and will visit your website, too. ....but hey, the servants in DJG are considered slaves right? correct me if im wrong.. LOL, jasmine--no, they are not "slaves" although as modern people, we may look at them that way. In Chosun, and any country at the same time, almost no one had any rights as we know them now. You were born into your fate and you fulfilled it. But a servant was certainly above a slave, otherwise, why would they bother to send people off to Jeju island to live as slaves for punishment? Servants at least received pay or something similar. There was that cute thing at the beginning of Dae Jang Geum where little Jang-geum was trying to learn how to bow without being in the schoolroom with the other girls, remember that? I'll bet that's where Yunyun got her idea, which is really cute. Bo PS - I voted in the blog, but it does not show up yet. If it does not show up by tomorrow, I will re-vote. Good luck!

I think "Serf" would be a good term for most of the people back then.

I don't understand this petition. There is no button to "send" my signature to the petition. All I can do is either Preview my signature or Read the Petititon. I keep putting in my information and no matter what I click, it doesn't get added.
Does anyone know how to do this?

Hi everyone, Kamsahamnida for your support Bo and Ducky! And Ducky, thank you very much for helping Bo with the petition. Yunyun's DJG Campaign gets some recognition! See this website: www.londonkoreanlinks.net/"Campaign for better soaps on UK TV. Fed up to the back teeth with Eastenders, Corrie and Emmerdale? Then sign a petition. Alice is running a campaign to try to get the BBC to buy Jewel in the Palace. A very worthy cause. Visit her campaign website and put your signature where it counts here." Take care everyone, Love, Yunyun

Breaking News!Kitty cat and PeiPei, possibly the two biggest Jewel in the Palace fans have been seen demonstrating in front of the BBC Television Centre, London. And I quote, " We want BBC to show Jewel of the Palace as soon as possible. We simply cannot understand why BBC have failed to see how this excellent Korean drama can offer the great British TV viewers. We think the viewers deserve better and The Jewel of the Palace is the answer!" kitty cat & PeiPei Reporting from London, England ;D uk fan

I'll see how I can incorporate it into a post on my blog.... By the way, I now have a link on my blog to a site giving Korean Lessons in a pdf format that can be printed into a personal 'text book'.
