Hi All,
I noticed that in Chicago the show is on Friday/Sat eve and then it repeats on Sat/Sun morning. However, i was surprised to find that there were lot more breaks(ads) on Sat eve than compared to Sun morning rerun. What was more surprised and shocking was that in some of those breaks on Sat eve, the actual drama scenes were deleted ( as if they didnt bother to stop the drama to insert those ads ) ! The Sun morning drama seem to ran in entirety. Has any one experienced this ? I dont have cable; so catch this program on my channel 28. Because of this, some things didnt make sense to me on Sat eve but when i saw it on Sun, it all made sense. From now on, i am going to watch it on mornings only !

I noticed it too. It's amazing how great minds think alike. I was going to email this board to let people know.
I am African-American you loves this show. I happened upon it by accident. Now, I find myself hooked. I set the VCR for Saturday and Sunday mornings instead of Friday and Saturday nights.

thx for your response Missy. I was begining to wonder if i was having memory lapses Sorry if no one responded to you Guffy--we've all made much of this before, maybe no one was surprised. I always tape the morning showings of all the shows. I don't fault the station too much--they are a tv station, they have to run ads. I'm just grateful they do a full rerun in the a.m. Bo

Yup, we always watch the evening show, but tape the morning show and watch the tape in the afternoon. Some of the dialog goes by so fast that we need the second viewing. We enjoy speculating after the evening show as to what was cut out, what was missing (for example, I guessed the bit with Yeun Sang and the dog and the king).

Oh, too bad--I think all of the scenes regarding Yeun-seng's rise to concubinage were important, at least in this episode. Bo

We also watch all four shows per weekend....the Friday and Saturday night shows just to find out what's happening next. Then we also watch the Sat. and Sun. morning shows to get more detail and enjoy it better. We, too, are busy reading the subtitles, so we don't always get to fully enjoy the production as much the first viewing. We tape everything, so that we can rewind it later and rewatch any scenes we like for clarification or for pure enjoyment. By the way, we've watched nearly all of the episodes and have never understood the connection between Colonel Min and Lady Min. Is there one or are we missing something? Thank you.

I'm pretty sure there is none, FL. I've never seen anything where they talked to each other or even acknowledged each other's existence. I think this is another instance of the "13 allowed names" list--Park, Suh, Oh, Min...--you know the thing. Unless I missed it somewhere. Bo

Hi, Bo-- Thank you for taking the time to respond. Your thought about the "Min" name is probably correct. Seems like I'm learning something all the time on this fan board ! Speaking of which, since this is a "FAN" board, I seem to have noticed that there have been quite a few more positive, fun & thoughtful comments shared lately. This is great! I enjoy the show so much more because I like to know that there are others out there like us who really appreciate what a superior drama this is. I'm already starting to worry about what kind of withdrawal I will be going through when (perish the thought!) the show comes to an end after 20 or so more episodes. ****AAAKKK!!! I really have gotten attached to the characters and the routine of looking forward to the episodes!! Keep up the good writing and positive comments and questions on the fan board, everyone!

You've made me smile, FL. 20 episodes--10 weekends--2.5 months. Oh, dear, what to do, what to do... I guess this is like looking into the Easter basket and seeing that LAST CHOCOLATE BUNNY!!! Oh, wait, there are some jelly beans... Bo

Hi, Bo! CONGRATULATIONS!!!.........you are now an Addict Graduate!!! (Do you receive an online diploma? What does a Korean cap and gown look like? ) Just kidding, of course. You are a kind and thoughtful fan, with a sense of humor, too. Have a great Easter, everyone. I'll be watching my Easter basket go down to the last Jelly Belly (I wonder if they now are made in Kimchee flavor?)

And of course Saturday's will be re-run on Tuesday at 9am.
Have fun!

This the norm for us here in the islands. Our nite time broadcast is 70 minutes with the rebroadcast the next day is 60 minutes.
In the past even though the nite time broadcast is 10 minutes longer we get a heck of a lot more commercials. So with the rebroadcast only having one maybe 2 short commercials we would get to see some of the scenes that were missing from the nite time broadcast.
But lately that has not been the case especially with episode lengths reaching 60-64 minutes in length. Just this weekend both episodes of Match Made in Heaven were over 63 minutes in length. Just happen to tape the rebroadcast of both episodes and there were at least 2-4 minutes of scenes missing from the rebroadcast. I am just glad I also record the nite time shows.

I am so bummed. Even though I did record Friday night's show, now I have to wait until I get home tomorrow to see the re-airing of Saturday's. Combine that with watching the re-broadcast of OMR, and that I'm recording tomorrow's ep of Pearl Necklace (looks to be a real good one. . . just wish I knew what was going on), and then watching tomorrow eve's OMR and then AOW. . . I guess doing my taxes can wait until Wednesday
