I know you all in Chicago are ahead of us so this is not a spoiler. ;)We just saw the episode of Yu-jin's misscarriage and the next day. Mean grandma's first reaction was: Yu-jin's timing was bad. The family will probably blame Grandma for the miscarriage. Then she goes to visit her at the hospital and apologizes for the things she said. (Okay, I know she told Soon-Young that it seemed liked she was going back to her old ways) Personally I don't think she ever changed them. I think she is still selfish, cruel and really cares nothing for anyone but herself. I read the other boards on this and I suspect many out there do. If OMR is to end soon, I wouldn't believe Grandma changed even if she got down on her hands and knees and kissed Min-Jae's feet - without shoes I love this actress - don't know her name - she is so good and so consistent in a role - I don't think I want her to be rehabilitated because I don't think the writers could make it believeable. Now as for Evil Auntie, Rainbow Hussie or whatever euphemisms are acceptable - this is one mean kitty! I don't want her rehabilitated at all! I want her punished and embarrassed and financially ruined! She needs some Joyland tables turned BIG TIME! Whew! That felt good to blow off steam - but I can't get started on In-Wan! Liz

She's changing ever so slowly. As of this evening, here in Chicago, she's made the step from antagonism to civility towards Min-jae. At this rate, I figure that at the very end of the final episode, she will reach affection.
As Hell freezes over, and pigs fly ;D

I think she is definitely mellowing but very slowly. Remember she is pretty old and set in her ways. But almost losing SY made her realize how much she does like her DIL and that has carried through to others. It's an interesting process to say the least. That scene last night at the spa was priceless!

I think she is definitely mellowing but very slowly. Remember she is pretty old and set in her ways. Mostly, I think her pride is getting in her way (and who doesn't have that problem one time or another, I'd like to know!). I think she's working through it as fast as she can. Bo

I have to agree Bo, and I also have to say that I'm really enjoying her interactions now that she's becoming more human. She is pretty expressive and funny when she isn't throwing poison darts at people.
