Have I missed something?

I do not pay full attention to this soap but compared to a week ago EVERYONE has changed as if all the craziness of the past never happened. It was daggers with each meeting.

No majpr event happened that the whole scenerio should have changed.

Did I miss something very important as an event that did not register to me?

Are you referring to the fact that Granny is being nice to SY now? If so that's because she had a lump removed from her breast without telling her family until after the fact. When Granny found out she realized that life without SY would be pretty bleak and she finally admitted to really caring about her daughter-in-law. If not then let me know who you are talking about and I will fill you in if I can.

I think the thaw in Grandma Han's frosty exterior began several episodes ago, probably when Soon-young sought to allay Kwei-boon's fears by assuring her that she (meaning SY) would prevent Min-jae from ever becoming President of Joyland...and Kwei-boon's true feelings were beginning to reveal themselves when she made some passionate statements in support of SY, during an emotional argument btw SY and In-hwan, of the latter's guilt.

It seems to me Granny changed her tune when she heard Soon-young could have cancer.
