Isn't he being great? I loved when he met In-huan and talked to him about the situation (at the bar), and told him he wished they could all work it out together. He's so wise and kind (unlike his "Sir Oh" on Jang-geum). I suppose (remember, I'm on episode 111 here, so you guys should not respond to this part) when he gets home, he'll have to have words with his wife, though, who'll probably want to throw the newlyweds out on their ears.

I love this guy (not in a MJ way of course lol). He is always so calm and reassuring to everyone. He looks like a big teddy bear and is just as comforting. If anyone can help smooth the ruffled feathers of the Oh's, it's him.

He's just a big cutie-pie. I bumped up our earlier thread about Dong-pyo just in case the rest of his "fan club" wants to read it.

I don't remember if anyone commented on this at the time, but at Mal-bong's birthday dinner, when they all toasted her "wwaiyn" (how "wine" sounds to me when they pronounce it) and wished her a happy birthday with, did you notice that Dong-pyo instead accidentally said, "I love you, Yuri!"? Everyone looked at him and he got a little shy.

That was adorable! I bet if you poke his tummy he'd giggle like the Pillsbury dough boy. Thanks for bumping up that old thread, Lucy! Hopefully we'll get the word out on our new line of Squeeze 'n' Speak Dong-pyos and Tickle-me Hye-sung dolls. Available at Toy's R Us and Morning Glory Stores everywhere!

Huh. If you guys don't watch out, I'll bump my thread about who's the cutest, and we don't want any hair pulling here.
I guess I was wrong about how Mal-bong would react. She's grown a lot. I know she seemed rude for staying in the bedroom when the newlyweds came home from Keum-ja's house, but her reason--that she didn't want to say the wrong thing and hurt Hye-Sung's feelings--was thoughtful. She apologized to granny without demeaning herself or making stupid promises to her about Yu-kyung divorcing Hye-sung (and yes, I think Granny really expected her to agree to that--spoiled baby).
I feel as if I've been banished, only watching the morning episodes, because everyone knows things I don't. As if, say, I was living in NEW JERSEY! Aaaaaaaah! (No slur on New Jersey, LOL. Okay, it's a leetle slur.)

Jenny, I think you have a career in licensing ahead of you! Good names for the Dong-pyo and Hye-sung dolls. My reaction was different--I thought that Granny was being ironic, as a device to show Mal-bong how far apart they were on the issue. Like, "Oh, you sympathize with how I feel? So, then, are you going to tell your daughter to divorce the son of the man who killed my DIL? No?? OK, then, go to h---."

Maybe I should change my major? ;D Granny was SO catty to Mal-bong! "YK can't get another divorce." Me-ow! Granny seemed more mellow while her arm was in a cast - must have been the pain pills - and now that it's off she's as mean as ever. (I was very surprised that she didn't fall to the ground, pounding her chest screaming "Eyegoo! Eyegoo!" when HK told her about HR's dad in the restaurant. She must have been on some wicked strong pain pills! How else could HK think he could tell Granny in such a public place? Having nursed both a transplant donor and recipient at the same time, I know them pills be mighty strong, and that's the only reason Granny kept it together! <- Mind the winky smiley - this was just a joke, don't fight me!)

*giggles* "eyegoo"...Jenny you cracked me up with that! But actually I was going to comment that generally speaking Granny has mellowed somewhat. I think it's understandable that she reacted so strongly to the news about HR's dad. And I do think that was sarcasm when she said that part about letting YK have a second divorce. I am also liking Mal-bong more every day. She has really embraced both her new son-in-laws (as much as MJ will let her that is). She seems to be the type that defends her own fiercely and I respcet that.

I agree that Kwi-doom was being sarcastic, but I stlll think (and I went back and watched it) that a part of her expected Mal-bong to agree with her. She's snarky, but she also expects everyone to grant her every wish.
Bo
PS - Maybe the pain pills were necessary for so long because everyone kept pulling at her sore arm. Did you all notice that? Every time someone would help her up from the floor, that's the arm they'd pull on. I know it was the one she kept on top (so to speak), but I kept expecting her to rip a new one for each person who did that to her. I sure as heck would have. Ouch!

Oh, I know. I thought to myself, if that were really a fracture, she'd be screaming with pain. Boy, people sure like to pull on her arm! No wonder she's testy.
BTW, what's "Eyegoo"? I never noticed Granny saying that. In what contexts does she say it?

I think "eyegoo" means something like, "Oh! My goodness!" No one really has said it in this drama, but it has been used a lot in the past. Maybe someone else has a better definition?

We haven't heard "Eyegoo" or "Aiguu" as I prefer spelling it?!? I think we probably have. God knows we heard it all the time in WML (the elders also did that clicking noise quite a lot).
I also think it's kind of like the equivalent of our "Oh my goodness." But maybe someone w/some real credibility can let us in on the meaning and proper spelling.
