I just learned that an English translation of the Essentials of Koryo history have been translated in English and published on 2021 by Yonsei University. This covers Taejo wang Geon to Seonjong. Not available in USA stores, but Only in Korean stores. Translation by Sem Vermeesh, a Belgian professor who has done English translation for Goryeo Dogyeong, an account by Song Dynasty envoy Xu Jing. www.aladin.co.kr/shop/wproduct.aspx?ItemId=284580988 ' Koryosa-choryo II has been translated already in 2014 and it covers the military regime era up to Gojong’sdeath. That translation was done by Edward Schultz, author of Generals and Scholars and Hugh Kang. These two also translated the Silla and Koguryo Annals

Thanks for posting this. You're right, even bookfinder.com doesn't turn up anything on it in North America and that site finds everything. Even the II isn't widely available yet, and the cheapest price out there is $45. So we wait.

So the University of Hawaii is going to publish an English translation of Koryo-sa covering from 918–1095 with a release date of Sept 2024. uhpress.hawaii.edu/title/koryosa-the-history-of-koryo-the-annals-of-the-kings-918-1095/It’s gonna cover the same stuff as Vermeesch’s translation up above (albeit with presumably less details) but the description “provides invaluable insight into the birth and development of Koryŏ state and society, as well as the rituals and practices of warfare, diplomacy, and international relations” makes me wonder if there will be more to it than that.
