Lots and lots of talking in this one. Considering the budget they must have had for the previous episode, it’s understandable. So virtually no action at all, but it was still interesting enough.
Kyun-hwon: “The weak and the unfortunate who end in defeat are always criticized and vilified. They are called tyrants, murderers, or even madmen. History is often times dishonest because it is written by the victor any way they wish.” The stuff about King Uija was interesting and well-written. It felt like filler so they could have a low-budget episode, but at least it was good. You can definitely picture a king talking to his son like that.
But Kyun-hwon was talking about Bekjae’s downfall like he was alive when it happened. Maybe something got lost in the translation, but Bekjae fell in 660 and right now in the series it’s 920. So don’t anybody get confused.
Doyoung: “She will soon find out that I am not one to be reckoned with.” Ugh, here we go....
Park Sulhee is acting awfully smug, the way he’s talking to Taepyoung almost like the guy is his subordinate. He should stay out of this. So should General Shin, although he was talking more sense about it all.
Suin: “Prince Tae may be young, but he lacks nothing against Prince Mu.” Seriously? The kid is three years old. The other kid is nine. How can you tell? Did he start potty training sooner? Good heavens.
“Select an heir apparent? They are only nine and three! What is the rush?” Fair enough, but he seems to think there won’t be any friction for the throne if he dies suddenly. Awfully naive of him. He should have been on top of this from day one.
KH: “What about Byukjin?” Talk about an awkward silence!
Wow, now you REALLY have to feel sorry for Shin Guhm.
