For some screenshots from Episode 1 (I don't have the episode sadly, just found a lot of screenshots): I'll keep posting more, it's quite a lot, over 50 i think.

In one way it was a relic of early TV that got fixed when the Annals were published in Modern Korean, but upon further research I found out the ikseongwan began to be used in different colors during late Joseon and the Korean Empire, including purple, red and violet. So it's still inaccurate but only because it's a 19th century hat instead of 17th century. If you look at the women's clothes, the same is true of their dang-ui dresses, which were only really that long by the late 18th~19th century (take this noblewoman's own from around 17th century, for example: (specifically Prince Uiwon's wife, Lady Kwon)

Any knowledge if the deployment of Joseon soldiers to assist Qing to fight off the Russian cossacks on the Heilong River region is covered?

Thanks for all the great pics! Very interesting.
Yeah the purple hat jumped out at me as well...but that neon green robe the one woman (princess?) was wearing got me even more. Seemed wildly out of place.

Well she looks like she should be on the airport taxiway at Jeju Island directing the planes. Strongly doubt that color existed back then. Oh well, gotta love TV...thanks again for posting the pics, very generous of you.
