I emailed DramaCool about the EWG episodes streaming all stretched out with the wrong aspect ratio. Haven’t heard back yet so I’m still watching them on Dailymotion. Working great there, and not loaded with pop-up ads like DramaCool is.

Oooh and now the STANDING evil eye. Wonder if Ahjitae walked out of that room with clean underwear! Goongyae was laughing as Ahjitae left...and yeah it was funny seeing the guy get his cojones busted like that. Unexpected and funny.
Han Fei Tzu, the philosopher quoted by Goongyae and the boy genius:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Han_Fei
A little bit dense but an interesting read. Just to record them here, Han’s list of eight offenses by subjects:
--to lodge with the king
--to be too close to the king
--to exploit family influence
--to arouse the king’s desire for pleasure
--to exploit the name of the people
--to seduce by eloquent speech
--to exploit one’s position
--to conspire with the neighboring country
And his ten faults of rulers:
--to practice petty loyalty
--to fix your eyes on a petty gain
--to behave in base and willful manner
--to give no ear to government affairs but long only for music
--to be greedy, perverse or too fond of profit
--to become infatuated with women
--to leave the palace for distant travels
--to fail to heed your loyal ministers
--to take no account of internal strength but rely on others
--to insult big powers even though your state is small
So Park Yu left a resignation letter. From what we saw last time it seemed like he just decided to walk away without a word. Kind of a surprise.
People do a lot of things for the sake of fashion, or in the case of a royal for protocol...but don’t you think those dangly strings on Yunhwa’s crown would get awfully irritating in a big hurry?
Another surprise was seeing Commander Yum again. Sort of figured when he got transferred that was his exit from the series. I’m glad—he started to think for himself and you always want characters like that. And Bok Jikyum seems like he’d be a real good boss.
Ahjitae: “Not I. I will not be used by a crazy lunatic.” Well gee, you kinda created this mess yourself. You dumbbell.
If we get one more sour look from Doyoung about this third wife business...hypocrite!
WG called Ahjagae “Sangbu”—-and Ahjagae said it means “father and older brother.” Does anybody know about this? I’ve never heard the term before.
The whole wedding sequence was really nicely done. Spared no expense, lots of people, nice setting. And crazy old Ahjagae having such a good time, how could you not smile at it. Didn’t expect it to go on for so long, but it actually worked—there’s been so much weirdness and tension lately, it made for a nice stretch of relief to see all the celebration.
Even the subject of Yunhwa being brought up on the wedding night, that could have been a real downer but it was handled well. WG says he’s over her by now and yeah it does seem like he is, he seemed sincere and at peace with it. (And Buyong is a heck of a catch, that certainly must have helped matters along.)
You wonder how much is known about the real Ahjagae, and whether or not any of the character we’re seeing is based on history. But either way the guy playing him is another piece of good casting by this series. He’s really hamming it up.
This again! WG and his bride both drank the wine of union from the spoon, but there obviously wasn’t a drop of liquid in it! Stop that! You stop that right now! UGH!!
Looks like a new actor playing the Bekjae crown prince. Guessing they’ll recast the other prince too.
Kyun-hwon having Excedrin Headache #38 over his nutty dad, well acted, loved it.
