On 2017, North Korea made a CG animated series based on the Jumong legend, titled Go Jumong. Someone managed to get a hold of the first episode and provided English subtitles.
Those who have seen the MBC Jumong series will notice that there some similarities with both shows, such as Haemosu being a heroic general and Buyeo being apprehensive of his growing influence.
I hesitate to say the show itself is good quality, but ts probably worth watching if only for curiosity's sake.

This is great! Thanks for finding it. Just watched the first few minutes but I'm eager to see the rest.
Will be curious to see if there's any hidden (or not-so-hidden) bullcrap propaganda in it.

Don't know if this cartoon includes such narrative, but I heard that North Koreans always involve their dear leader in their history curriculum somehow. For example, they teach that Yi Soon Shin was good, but not as perfect as the Dear Leader Kim Il-Sung and he would have been much more successful than he was in history if he served under Kim Il-Sung rather than King Seonjo.

That is unreal. How big of a kiss-ass to you have to be to tell your boss that "Yi Soon-shin didn't perform to his potential because you weren't his boss!" Good heavens. Even for North Korea that is nauseating.
Great post, though! I'll let you know what's in the episode as soon as I can watch the whole thing.
