This is the no#2 drama in S Korea, it sounds interesting, as its more on the dark side.

I finally got around to watching The World of the Married. It's a remake of the BBC series Dr Foster. I never watched Dr Foster, based on what I read about it, The World of the Married sticks close to the original. If anything, changes made to the story are more to fit with its new audience rather than to completely change the story.
The World of the Married deals with infidelity, divorce, single parenting, treatment of women in the workplace and mental health. This is a dark and heavy series that won't be everyone's cup of tea. These are all flawed characters that are messed up in their own way. Maybe because The World of the Married sticks close to the original but, at times, it doesn't feel like you're watching a Kdrama. I like that the series is shot outside of Seoul. "Gosan" is supposed to be like a suburb where everyone knows each other. Good performances by the cast. The OST is excellent. I recommend checking it out.

Wow, according to Wikipedia this was the most-watched cable TV drama ever in SK. Maybe I'll try the first episode. Where did you watch it? I see it's on both Dramacool and Gooddrama.
Not a lot of familiar faces from historicals. The female lead from the Jang Youngsil series has a supporting role but looks like that's about it.

If you're willing to wait, this series should be available on Netflix soon. It technically already is but outside the US. If not, DC should be fine. I see Gooddrama still does the split videos.
One more thing. The World of The Married is 16 eps but each episode is about 80 mins long. The series ends up being about 22h total.
