“They’re testing us...You have to go into the jungle and catch a tiger.” Hey these guys are sharp! Gotta love that.
“I think I’m pregnant again.” Wow KH didn’t waste any time, did he.
You know what, for the first time I have to fault the music. The suspenseful build-up as KH went to that meeting...too heavy-handed. You don’t use the tympani to build up suspense; they’re for the payoff. I hope this doesn’t become a problem.
But the handheld cameras for the stalking shots, great stuff!
Well the payoff wasn’t worth it—it was the one stinker moment in the whole episode. A whole bunch of armed goons against KH and Nung Hwan...and of course the two unarmed guys win. Ugh. Disappointingly silly.

The three narrated texts:
Kyun-Hwon...he was a man of fearless courage. The Chronicle of the Three Kingdoms depicts him like this: “Kyun-hwon was born in Kaheun, Sangju. He was wrapped in a blanket and left in a field as a newborn, when a wild tiger came down from the mountain and nursed him. As he grew up, his robust frame and appearace stood out, and his vivacious spirit was remarkable.”
Park Jiyoon...He was the lord of Pyungju. Wang Ryung possessed the castle of Song-ak, but his power was weak compared to Park. At the time, Park was a powerful man controlling a vast area bordering thirteen settlements. His reluctance may have been the reason why these men failed to join forces and eventually succumbed to Goongyae’s invasion. During this time, Goongyae was still living under the care of Kihwon.
By this time, Kyun-hwon’s father Ahjagae had led a peasant uprising in Sangju, and seized control of Sabulju Castle. More accurately, he successfully took advantage of the military’s weakened state after fighting off another rebel force led by Wonjong. Ahjagae stared revealing himself to the world, and news about him had reached Sudal.“That arrogant bastard humiliated me twice!” Yes and it’s been great fun to watch. Hoping #3 is just as good. Nothing more to say about this one. The story continues to unfold slowly and that’s perfectly fine.
