Mentioning it here because he was asked about historical dramas: (interviewer) Can you name any dramas or films that portrayed a particular historical era well?
There are many films, too many to list. As for dramas, I thought the recent Jeong Do-jeon did a stellar job of going beyond the conventional in its character portrayals, its acting, and its story arc. Most historical dramas run too long and are filled with too much dead space and superfluous story lines.
Nice to hear the series getting credit from someone who knows Korean history exceptionally well. p.s. credit to sageuk for finding it and sharing it with us.
