Whew, this thing is really snail-pacing along...but finally GB and Yon are liberated and in the trade business now so hopefully things will pick up and we'll move forward.
The blacksmith! Well THERE was a twist. Full credit for that one; never saw it coming. Well done. But if GB actually did stab him in a non-lethal area, instead of just pretending to stab him, then why was there no blood on his sword when he went back to his bench? Oops.
Yeom Moon is a complicated person. Feels like he's burdened by some sort of repressed source of self-loathing, the way he looks and acts. But whatever, he needs to get past Jung-hwa. She ain't into you, dude, gotta move on.
Madam Jami is way too freaked out about a couple of slaves, even with their past with her. Maybe later it will turn into a more legitimate source of trouble for her, but at this point it just seems ridiculous that she's as agitated about them as she is. Just doesn't make sense.
Wow, big credit to Master Jo for sticking to his deal and walking away from 600 silver coins. He was shrewd enough to get a favor from Sul-pyung out if it, but still, that was after the deal was done. I hope we see more of him; he's an interesting character.
Why was it funny when that female security worker grabbed Yon's arm and embarrassed him? He's her boss now. Even if she already knew the material, that was totally out of line.
The Shandong merchant test is to get somebody stinking blotto drunk? I wonder if Master Jo was just messing with her. But I gotta say, the idea that YM would go against his boss's orders and let Jung-hwa do a trade on her own, I had a hard time accepting that. Even if he is smitten with her, it was terrible judgment on his part (and his boss saw right through it, you could tell by that little head-shake he gave after YM left him).
Thank goodness the two of them finally saw each other--those near-misses were getting really annoying. Would be nice if we could get some resolution between them so we could move on...but clearly this is gonna get strung out for a long time. Oh well, at least GB isn't a slave any more so that's progress.
