Ok-- I'll ask "Why do you not like the red scarf?" I thought he got it for her because it gave her something to hide behind instead of the helmet and I would think that the scarf would look more natural than the helmet??? Yeah, I guess it doesnt cure her like the Dr. is trying to do, but he is a dectective not a Dr.-- he was thinking what would make her happy, unlike the Dr. who to me only seems to think of himself.... I am guessing you are leaning towards a relationship between Yi Suk and Hong Do instead of the detective? There are times when I like the Dr. but so many times he is annoying, and that whole "fire thing"-- he comes across like he is best for Hong Do. Some of the comments that people post as they watch are very negative about the Detective and Hong Do-- like he had 7 years to ask Hong Do out and he is only getting around to it now??? But I think, he didnt think she could handle being in a relationship, he knew she had issues when he first saw her at her apartment. Why push for a relationship with someone who is definatly shy? I am currently watching Ep 8. (I like Lee Min Ho, too. liked him in Boys over Flowers, Personal Taste-- haven't started Faith, yet) Off topic-- did you see the updates in the music thread??-- Big Bang has two new songs out, at least one hit 1 million on Youtube the first day--check it out, the MV are really unique, LOVE Taeyang on the horse in the Bae Bae Mv.His arms muscles..... These guys make the best, strangest MV's around. I still remember you first comments about BigBang, would love to hear you comments about the new songs/MV

You missed my point... I said "RED scarf," all caps RED. I don't mind the scarf but I did mind that it was blood red. I think Hong Do minded too. When he gave it to her she muttered, "Red..." When a girl has blushing problems and wants to fix it so badly I don't think she would want to wrap her face in a BLOOD RED scarf. That's all I meant. But then maybe Detective Jang didn't realize that.
You make it sound like he was waiting patiently for her to "unshy" herself for 7 years. But that's not the case. He just wasn't interested in her enough until Yi Suk started showing up. He was even ready to marry someone else.
I'll check it out only cuz you're asking me. But really I just don't find BigBang appealing. Don't hate me!!!!
I adore him!! But mostly as Choi Young!! Love love love "Faith"!!!!
**Can you do me a big(bang) favor? Can you try to change your avatar? I can't upload to change my avatar any more. I just want to know if it's only my iPad or if it's the site. I recently upgraded to iOS 8 and so maybe that affected it?... Thank you!!**
++Ohmgosh, just watched "Bae Bae" MV and I just have to say, "Very weird." I'm sorry but I didn't like it at all. Again just way too out there. I have a very vanilla taste. Super Junior only, for me!!++

Ok-- I get it RED scarf---but I still think the red might compliment the redness in her face and not make it so noticable? After reading some of the stuff people are "posting" as they watch, I think I am the only one rooting for Hong Do to end up with the detective-- I'm not sure why, but his smile just makes me melt.....and wasn't the detective getting married because it was being arranged? Because he sure didn't act like he loved the girl, he didn't even to seem to like her and I think he was really uncomfortable with her.. I tried to change my avatar (thanks for the big(bang) pun )but it didn't work. I actually saw your message last night and was unable to get it to load, tonight I tried a picture I had saved on my computer and that didn't work-- it said "file too big". I tried again using a thumbnail I had on my computer of BigBang's CD design and it worked....now if I can only figure out now to change it back to the picture of BigBang!?!??!?!?? Wish I could be more techanically helpful Thanks for taking the time to watch "Bae Bae"-- I knew you wouldn't like it, but I knew your reaction would make me smile and it DID! so a big(bang) thanks to you! Maybe I will watch Faith once I finish Delicious Proposol.....

and wasn't the detective getting married because it was being arranged? Because he sure didn't act like he loved the girl, he didn't even to seem to like her and I think he was really uncomfortable with her.. This is exactly what I'm talking about. If he doesn't even like her why was he gonna marry her? Of course it was an arranged marriage. But if he likes someone else he wouldn't be willing to be "arranged." But he was, which goes to show he didn't have feelings for Hong Do until just recently. Episode 8 I was laughing so hard when Yi Suk showed Hong Do the picture of Mona Lisa and said she can't come out of her house cuz she has no eyebrows. So funny!! I really liked it when Yi Suk came back to hug Hong Do after he drops her off at her home. That was so sweet. And I didn't realize Yi Suk was a twin. That twin patient of his sure is ugly. Wow, her expressions when she cries... Yikes!! Hate Hong Do's ring tone!! That Detective Jang, who is he to say that she doesn't really like Yi Suk!!!!!! I'm sorry you changed the avatar just for me and now can't get back to the very nice picture of BigBang. So you can't change it back?? I'm sorry!! As you can see I did manage to change my avatar. But only cuz I did it on my laptop. Can't do it via my iPad anymore. Boo Hoo, so sad. Cuz I took so many screen shots of Lee Min Ho/Choi Young while I watched "Faith" and wanted to use them all for my avatar...

Finished Ep 8..... I just don't know, that Dr. guy just drives me crazy, he seems to be all about himself. He does things/says things to Hong Do that I just don't like-- for instance when he took her helmet, I get he is trying to help her and all that, but if this is something that makes her comfortable-- why would he just take it? and then buy her a new one? Is it because the detective gave her the original helmet (I couldn't remember how she got it), when Hong Do tells the Dr. that he is being too mean to Eun Ho-- he gets all defensive, upset that she is analyzing him. AND then we hear about how his brother died in a fire-- and he plays with Hong Do by pretending to be in a fire!?!?? I thought he was maybe pretending to be his brother (the favorite brother?)to get Hong Do's attention, but that didn't really make sense in this situation--- I thought the detective was nice in explaining to Hong Do his feelings for her, how he would wait for her-- he seems so much more understanding and not so blunt like the Dr. And that girl that likes the detective--- that is the Dr.'s sister?!?!? really we have to throw another relative/wrench into this mess??? I thought that the way Hong Do treated the grandpa was enough to make it a "love" triangle. LOL. I love it when Hong Do is dressed as the grandma! (love your new avatar-- don't worry I will figure out how to get BigBang back on mine, soon )

Well, I see what you're saying kinda but when he gave her the new helmet it was missing a shield. So it was one less barrier. And I have to hand it to him for the selection of the color. For a girl who has blushing problem, the color is very soothing.
His brother died of fire??? I did not know that! How come I didn't know that?? Ohmgosh, and he played that trick on Hong Do? That's not right.
You see, here I can't agree with you. First of all Hong Do never waited for him. She just liked him but wasn't expecting anything from him in return. When you're waiting it implies you're expecting something at the end. He says he's gonna wait for her. Why? She told him she likes someone else and his response is he'll wait for her? Pressure much?? I would hate that! I don't think that's being nice, I think that's putting pressure on her to come back to him when she doesn't want to.
Will watch episode 9 soon. Am watching so many dramas at this time. What happened to my resolution to watch one at a time??!!

Just a quick note, I was in the process of rewatching episode 1 for more details and got as far as when the Dr. confronted Hong Do at the police station he was chasing her all around trying to get her to look at him, to yank the helmet off her head, to get her to rethink what she thought she saw AND I had to stop watching-- he just makes me crazy the way he treats her--- just bothers me to no end. Don't see what anyone see in that guy! Oh well, will watch more some other day.....

I dont think it's quite fair to ask what does anyone see in Yi Suk while watching episode 1. You're not supposed to like him in episode 1. But as we get to know him better, as we see how kind he is to his mother, his sister, and his grandfather, and what a sad childhood he had, how his brother got all the love from the parents and how he feels guilty for being alive when the "better son" is dead... when all these are known then we're supposed to feel more sympathy for him. Well, I do anyway. I don't love him, mind you, but I still like him better than Detective Jang. I hate mushy guys and Detective Jang is just too gentle and too mushy with her, makes me cringe. Episode 9: I really resented the way Detective Jang dragged her out of the building and totally jumped to the worst conclusion about Yi Suk. And when she says she wants to go back to get an explanation he yells at her! What?! But then on the other hand, I hate it when Yi Suk calls Hong Do ugly. I feel like saying you're no hot stuff yourself you know. But Yi Suk leaves Hong Do in the supermarket while he goes running to rescue his ex! (Translation correction: the ex does not say "Take me! Please take me!" when she calls Yi Suk. The translator was obviously not an American. What she says is, "Come and get me, please come and get me!") But then Detective Jang transforms into a thug and beats the crap out of Yi Suk. Can police act like that??? Can't believe YS drank with him after and took him home!! I would've gone straight to my lawyer! But then YS does that wacky "event" at the supermarket for HD! What was that?? Was that supposed to make her feel better?? Apparently it did. But I don't know why! I would not have liked that at all! Embarrassing!! So you know, neck and neck in the race. But I still like Yi Suk a little bit better. Actually the grandfather is looking better and better with each passing episode... Here's something I've always wondered about in K drama: why, when there are only two people in the car, does the passenger sit in the back when the passenger seat in the front is available? (Obviously I'm not talking about a taxi.) This makes me absolutely insane!! Why? ??

EP 9 AS I watched this episode, I kept thinking... I wondered if the writers knew how strong/mean Yi Suk was coming across in this drama, so they made changes-- he seems much nicer..... There was one comment from the Dec. Jang "....I felt alot of pressure as the eldest grandson"---Do you think is part of the reason he didn't do anyting with Hong Do for 7 yrs? They seem to be a family that is very well off and if she is not, then the chances of anything happening could be zilch. He needed to be a filialgrandson? That ex-girlfriend-- I don't even know what to say about her...... I know you didn't like the way Dec Jang dragged out of the building, but don't you think he did it to keep her from getting hurt, by seeing Yi Suk hug another women? I would think her self esteem can't be that strong. And then when Yi Suk confronted her, he says "What was your reason for leaving with Dec. Jang" It sounded to me like he was blaming her, later it came out she knew who the women was, the one from his apartment, so why would she want to stick around? When Hong Do was at the Grandpa's place and the lady was chaking out the rug, I thought for sure she was gonna knock off Hong Do's wig and ruin the whole charade! LOL I thought Hong Do's perception about not lying to the grandpa anymore, to not dress up as the old lady anymore was very understanding-- like this was a step towards being able to stand on her own, to not have to "cover herself up" either by using the dress-up or using the helmet. She is coming out of her shell. When Yi Suk was talking to HOng Do about her trip to the resturant with Dec Jang, he told her "you did good by going to the public resturant"-- probably the nicest thing he has every said to her but then he is back to being a jerk by leaving her at the supermarket--thanks for the translation, by the way-- "Take me, please take me" was making my brain go in a totally differnt direction!!! LOL As far as the fight between the Suk and Jang-- for a detective, he hits (and as a female it kills me to say this!) like a girl!! It was almost like watching two girls fight without the hair pulling! I agree with you about the event at the market-- at first I thought she was imagining the guy in a helmet-- but this only confirms my statement at the begining-- Yi Suk is gettting tooo nice! He goes from yanking the helmet off at every opportunity he can get, to paying employees at the market to wear them. Nice to see you leaning towards the grandpa, I was thinking our posts were going to be a "love/hate" relationship similar to our BigBang/Super Junior relationship-- with you rooting for Yi Suk, and me rooting for Det. Yang--- I really like the grandpa, but he is gonna be crushed when he finds out about Hong Do.

LOL, I have told people I work with my biggest fear when I started there was being locked in the building overnight! As far as the fight between the Suk and Jang-- for a detective, he hits (and as a female it kills me to say this!) like a girl!! It was almost like watching two girls fight without the hair pulling! I thought the drinking scene was interesting, the back and forth downing of drinks, but I am not sure why I think that-- maybe because it sybolizes their relationship with Hong Do? Maybe they ended up at Yi Suk's house because he is not a "good" drinker, so Det. Jang brought him home and was too drunk to get to his house? It almost sounded like the housekeeper was aware of them being drunk in the morning when she was talking to Yi Suk's sister? I agree with you about the event at the market-- at first I thought she was imagining the guy in a helmet-- but this only confirms my statement at the begining-- Yi Suk is gettting tooo nice! Yours are direct and to the point, like a Super Junior MV?!??!?! Maybe, I need to listen to more SuJu? ?? Off topic(again!) I was looking at the "News" section on dramafever and there was something about Lee Min Ho making a Pepsi commercial--- maybe you would like to check it out?

The reason he didn't do anything for 7 years was cuz he wasn't interested in her as a girl until Yi Suk started showing interest in her. That's what I think. I know you think he liked her all this time but I don't think that. How could he have liked her and still was willing to marry some other girl?
From what I gather Det. Jang's family is not necessarily wealthy but is a very traditional family, they do everything the old way. Remember what his fiancée said, that they do memorials for the dead family members and all that? He is the heir to the family so his wife would have to do everything, like cooking, cleaning all the old fashion way. Lots and lots of work!
I can sum her up in four words - Too. Much. Plastic. Surgery.
Keep her from getting hurt? How? She already saw him hugging the girl. She should've stayed to find out what was going on. By being dragged away she leaves not knowing what's going on. That would hurt her more I would think. I can't help thinking if Hong Do were to marry Det. Jang he would just boss her around. Yi Suk's style is to face things head on and Jang's style to to bury things. If Hong Do had met Yi Suk 7 years ago there's no way he would've received food from her for SEVEN years without trying to get her out of that house and out of her shell. Jang if anything seems to encourage her to stay in her house. Am I being too harsh on Jang?...
He WAS blaming her. Cuz if she had stuck around she would've realized he was INNOCENT! He was just comforting that nutjob, nothing else. That's why people shouldn't jump to conclusions, that they should stick around and see and hear all the explanations first. That way a lot of heartaches can be spared.
I actually liked the way they fought. I've never seen anyone fight in real life but I imagine this is the way they really fight, not like all that karate kicks and professional boxer punching. It just looked real to me. Sorta reminded me of the way the two leading men in "Bridget Jones' Diary" fought - scratching and biting, so funny!!

I'm kidding about the grandpa, you know that right? And I AM rooting for Yi Suk, you know that too right?
I gotta tell you something about Lee Min Ho... I love him in dramas, some of the dramas he stars in are some of my faves, like "Boys Over Flowers," "Personal Taste," and of course "Faith." But strangely he just doesn't do it for me outside of the dramas, like in interviews and commercials. It's a little odd but I have no interest in him in real life setting...

Watched episode 10. Very exciting. Especially the ending. Wow. Busted, Hong Do!! Do you feel she got much uglier or is it just me? Her hair is so black now compared to the beginning of the drama. Does not flatter her at all. And I know I'm picking on Det. Jang again but really? The way he grabs Hong Do and wouldn't let her go to Yi Suk? He's a bully and the worst kind cuz he's a mild-mannered bully. He seems and acts nice but really underneath he's a control freak. I liked the fact that Yi Suk didn't jump in and grab her away from him. I liked that way he gave Hong Do the choice to come to him herself. Ohmgosh the ending was so scary. I was like screaming at her. I mean come on! If you're posing as an old lady and your boyfriend keeps asking you to raise one and and then the other arm while on the phone with him, while you're sitting in a restaurant, shouldn't an alarm sound be going off in your tiny little brain? But then I'm ditzy that way too... What in heck is "voice phishing"

Yeah, that ending-- to me sooo typical of Yi Suk, can't just do something "normal" and walk over and confront her, even if he yelled and got mad, no-- he has to have her raise her hands. I thought for sure he was going to walk over to her and arrest her-- and say"Since you are so into detectives, I will just arrest you here for impersonating an old lady" I really feel sorry for the grandpa. He likes Hong Do so much. SO many people in this drama, need to be more honest and forthcoming with what they are doing. I don't know how this is all going to end, I can't see how anyone deserves to be with anyone--except maybe the grandpa, he deserves Hong Do, but that can't happen-- may she can just be his friend without being the grandma? I googled voice phishing-- and it is an illegal way to gain knowledge personal or financial over the phone-- the description was almost as confusing as the phrase voice phishing! (try it!)

But what was wrong with him having her raise her hands like that? I would've done the same thing. He was so shocked, it was so unbelievable that the old lady could be Hong Do, that he wanted to make absolutely sure before he confronted her.
I know exactly how it's gonna end - Hong Do will end up with Yi Suk, of course. They make a perfect couple, very cute. I will have a fit if she ends up with anyone else. It wouldn't make sense otherwise.
