Finally located this online and saw the first episode (minus subs unfortunately.) Is it possible that someone could (evenly briefly) kindly recap the episodes so the rest of us get some glimmering of what's happening? For example - . . . . . . . . . . Who are the three rather sinister-looking men who gathered in the dark? One was the actor who played Li Haegu's father in DJY. Another one showed up at the end of the episode in a red minister robe. Who was the prisoner kneeling with the wrapped up hachet(?) and scroll in front of him pleading something? Who were the men practicing their fighting skills (clandestinely?) out in the countryside? Was that Geom who did the gratuitous cliff jumping? Must say, Hideyoshi was also gratuitously half-nekkid. King Seonjo's already kind of luny, isn't he? I see that the uniforms of the torture squad have not changed. Aside from the cliff-jumping and one scene with two men seemingly providing a comic-relief argument, this looked really good.

Jeong Cheol, Seong Hon, and Song Ik Pil. The one who showed up at the end of episode in a red minister robe is Jeong Cheol. 2. Jo Heon (For JD Fans, that was Lee Bangu from JD. Jeong Cheol is Lee Jiran and Song Ik Pil is Lee Saek as mentioned earlier) 3. Jeong Yeo Rip's private army 4. Yes, it is Geom. 5. The argument wasn't supposed to be a comic-relief. As for the recap, I'm assuming ajk will be doing it as soon as it airs on KBS World. I don't think any recap before that is allowed since that would be a spoiler.

Okay, this is the usual spoiler thread. A "spoiler," for anyone who isn't aware, is a piece of information about a series episode that hasn’t been broadcast in the USA yet. This is a USA board, so spoilers are based on the USA broadcast schedule. Any information or discussion about BOC episodes that have not yet aired in the USA must—MUST—be posted here and nowhere else.
If you're new here and have any questions about spoilers, you’re more than welcome to send a message to me or any of the forum's other moderators using the message function, which is accessed at the top of the main forum page.

I watched some of The King's Face, and I didn't like it. I have found something similar with Jingbirok though. Both dramas have Imhaegun as ill-tempered and rude, while Gwanghaegun is more compassionate. Is this accurate?

I always thought Gwanghae got a raw deal, just because he was farsighted enough not to support the dying power being Ming .

Yi Soon Shin has been brought up. I think they were talking about his appointment as naval commander.
And guards are searching Yu Seong-ryong's house because of his recommendation? And a letter from Yi Soon Shin's mother stops them or something (I'm having a hard time understanding without subs)
Serious deja vu with IYSS, despite the fact he doesn't appear...especially with court officials being against him (as usual)
EDIT: Oh, Yun Doosu just okayed Yi Soon Shin's appointment.

Once more Yi Soon Shin is mentioned. He and Yu Seong Ryong are exchanging letters in regards to the Turtleship. And just like in IYSS, he's getting difficulty getting that project approved.
We should play the YSS Drinking Game, every time this unseen man is mentioned.
