This post is for eps 3 & 4 of Pride and Prejudice.
Yeol Moo's next case revolves around the death of a girl at a child care center. The death is considered an accident but it's possible Yoon Ji was being abused. The girl had a little brother named Chan who is also at the center. The case reminds Yeol Moo of the death of her young brother Byul. He went missing after Yeol Moo left for school. She last saw him at the bus stop. His body was found after a fire at a factory. When Yeol Moo brings up Byul's death, Dong Chi remembers Byul's case and realizes what Yeol Moo was searching his desk for. It seems chief Hee Man and Chang Gi know each other. The chief pressures Yeol Moo to wrap up Yoon Ji's case. Dong Chi buys her more time by connecting the director of the center to the head of the prosecution. The center principal denies doing anything to Yoon Ji. While looking over surveillance video of Yoon Ji supposedly sleepwalking, Yeol Moo and Dong Chi realize that Yoon Ji was using sign language to ask for help. Dong Chi obtains audio of a phone call the principal's husband made at the time of Yoon Ji's accident. You hear principal Shin yelling at Yoon Ji and her falling down the stairs in the background. The principal is arrested and charged with Yoon Ji's murder. Yeol Moo takes Chan to the boarding house. Yeol Moo returns Dong Chi's grade sheet back to him. She has the second half of the sheet which has "help me" written on the back. Yeol Moo asks Dong Chi why he killed her brother.
-----------------
That was unexpected. We already had an idea that Dong Chi was involved with Byul's case. I wasn't expecting him to be accused on killing Byul. This would explain why Yeol Moo disappeared 5 years ago and said she's out for revenge. Dong Chi is the male lead so it's a safe bet that he's not the killer. We'll see how that all gets explained.
We'll be going at a slightly faster pace from here on out. Look for a eps 5 & 6 post this weekend. I waited a week for eps 3 & 4 to see if others jumped on board.

I actually ended up liking the 3rd and 4th episodes better for some reason, though they still weren't doing what prosecutors are supposed to do. Maybe I just resigned myself to the idea.
Okay, so that ripped piece of paper is Dong Chi's grade paper! I was wondering what that was the whole time. So her brother wrote "please save me" on the back of his report card. And this is why Yeol Moo asks Dong Chi at the the end of episode 4 why he killed her brother?? Hmm, isn't that a bit of a jump? There could be a million reasons why her brother ended up with half a piece of Dong Chi's grade paper without Dong Chi ever even having met him. Yeol Moo should be smart enough to know that. After all, she did pass the bar exam, didn't she?? She could have her suspicion but to actually come right out and ask him like that? As if she really believes he killed him? Very odd.
In episode 3, we find out Kang Soo is 22. 22!! - Noona romance here I come!! Can't believe how young he is. I thought maybe 25, 26... And what's with all these short skirts Yeol Moo is wearing? Maybe it's cuz I'm so cold these days but the sight of her bare legs is just almost painful to me. Korean girls sure like those short short skirts.
I really liked the part when Dong Chi asks Yeol Moo what the victim said. And she says but the victim is dead and he says I know, what did the victim say? I just thought that scene was very cool. I imagine lots of people working in law-related jobs have to listen to the voice of the dead. However, I did not like it when at one point he petted her head and touched her cheek. I mean, what if she didn't like it? They're not dating now. I totally would consider that sexual harassment.
When Yeol Moo says her brother's name is Byul (which means "star"), I wondered if her name meant anything obvious. And then a light bulb came on in my head. Does Yeol Moo mean "fruit" or "fruit tree" or something like that? Truth or Sageuk, would you know? Now, her name doesn't seem so ugly to me.
I loved the scene where Kang Soo secretly follows Yeol Moo to make sure she gets home safe. That scene seemed so romantic to me. I really think Kang Soo is just too cute!! It's so obvious he's very infatuated with Yeol Moo. Hope he won't get too broken-hearted... cuz he prob won't end up with her... boo hoo...

Yeah it's a big leap. Not something you'd think she'd reveal like that if she believes him to be the killer. I think they just wanted to explain early why she wants revenge on him. I loved the scene where Kang Soo secretly follows Yeol Moo to make sure she gets home safe. That scene seemed so romantic to me. I really think Kang Soo is just too cute!! I'm not a fan of scenes where the guy follows the girl around. Or stands outside her house for several hours. This one admittedly wasn't so bad tho. Probably? Second male leads don't really stand a chance of ever getting the girl.

Lol, of course you're not, you're a guy, and I am cuz I'm a girl. So to speak, you'd be the one outside in the cold, shivering and wondering if it's all worth it and I'd be the girl in her warm and cozy room, looking out the window lapping up the love and admiration.
Okay, this is a big spoiler... * * * * * * * * If you've never seen "Feast of the Gods" and is planning to watch it, stop reading now. * * * * * * * * * * So, I adore Joo Sang Wook and I think Sung Yu Ri is as cute as can be. When I saw that this drama had both stars I love in it and that they were both the lead actors, I settled back and was totally ready for a good, satisfying romance with a happy ending. There was another guy, of course, it is K-drama after all. But that didn't faze me at all. Cuz I was so sure, by now, the lead guy never loses his girl.
The drama is designed so that you don't quite know who's gonna get the girl till the very end. Yet, Stupid Girl (who is me) was soooo sure Joo Sang Wook was gonna win the girl at the end I just kept on watching and didn't worry for a minute. And do you know? He ends up losing her to the SECOND LEAD!! As soon as I knew, I bailed. But there was only like five minutes left to the drama. Still I didn't watch it. I was hopping mad. If it had been someone else I didn't particularly care for playing the lead, I wouldn't have minded. I often root for the second guy (as in P&P). But not when it's JSW!!
So, second leads do win the girl sometimes. Kang Soo has maybe 1% chance?

This would explain why Yeol Moo disappeared 5 years ago and said she's out for revenge. Okay, so I was thinking about this a little. Tell me if this makes sense to you... Yeol Moo finds out the report card with "Please save me" written on it by her brother belongs to Dong Chi. She and DC are dating at the time. Because she suspects DC is her brother's killer, she disappears from his sight for five years so she could become a prosecutor and so she'll be able to work with him and take her revenge. How does this even make sense at all? Wouldn't it have been easier and faster by just staying put and continue dating him? How better to find out all she could about him as his girlfriend and then take revenge then? Instead of waiting a whole FIVE years? Just makes no sense to me.

Does it make sense? No but K-Dramas often defy logic. I think most people would have asked him about the report card and possibly accused him depending on his answer. How does this even make sense at all? Wouldn't it have been easier and faster by just staying put and continue dating him? How better to find out all she could about him as his girlfriend and then take revenge then? Instead of waiting a whole FIVE years? Just makes no sense to me. This sounds like Yoon Na (Kwak Ji Min) in Shining Romance except that she was dating the guy to get revenge on his mother.

I'm not a fan of such scenes either, I don't think they're romantic. If someone tells you to go away or can't be convinced to give you the time of day, you should find a more neutral place to get them to change their mind, not their home, and you shouldn't follow ANYONE around like a little creep as if you've got their phone on GPS. LOL. Modern times. Tough on "love."

I don't mind K-drama defying time, age, gravity... but common sense I wish they wouldn't try to defy so much...
Now this sounds like a fun watch!

Now this sounds like a fun watch! Not really. The series was SMH bad. I mostly watched it for Lee Jin (FinKL). Yoon Na was only a supporting character.

Is this Yoon Na you're talking about the Yoona of Girls Generation? If so, I can't stand that girl.
