MBC Chicago has announced a new drama called "Pride and Prejudice." It begins on Christmas day, Thursday December 25, and airs at 10:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays. (A repeat time hasn't been announced; certainly there will be a repeat time, and most likely it will be 5:40 p.m. the following day, but that isn't certain yet.)
This is not the Jane Austen story; it's a contemporary drama about a group of prosecutors who fight corruption. I've attached the PDF announcement that MBC Chicago released, and Wikipedia and AsianWiki links, all of which give more information about the plot and the cast. It runs for 20 episodes, each 60 minutes long.
I see from other posts here that the series is already up on DramaFever, or at least the first 14 episodes are. Right now it's only available to paid members, but presumably it will be unrestricted after the first run ends in Korea. If anybody here has watched any of it and can offer any reaction, positive or negative, please do share it.
P.S. Song Chang Min, who played the title character in Shin Don, is in this one.
Aww, sageuk, it's such a great title, who could help it. LOL...
From Dae Jang-geum: Sun-dol: "Are you trying to dry me up and kill me? Why do you say the same things over and over every day? Rather, come and hit me once! Aigu!" But then: Dr. Lazarus: "By Grabthar's hammer, by the suns of Warvan... You shall be avenged."
Just to update anyone who planned to watch this on MBC, it's been pushed back. The start date was originally announced as December 25, but I received an update from MBC saying that it's been switched to a Monday / Tuesday drama and will start on January 12 at 10 p.m. Not sure when the repeats will air; wasn't announced.
