Episode 9-- agree, even if Xiao Fei isn't an outgoing female-- how hard would it be to kiss a robot? Of course, seeing what we have of Xiao Fei maybe she has never even kissed a guy? I don't know if this sounds rude or maybe even disrepectful, but I thought the drama would have been better/funnier if Night had somehow kissed the guy at Xiao Fei's work that seems to have the "hots" for him-- I thought that would have been a better senario that the typical one of Xial Fei's friend trying to steal her boyfriend.....sometimes this drama is so predictable. I guess I may be expecting more out of this than I should? Still enjoying it.......

seeing what we have of Xiao Fei maybe she has never even kissed a guy? Well, she did kiss him in episode one to activate him so she does have at least one experience in kissing... But even if she didn't, wouldn't kissing a robot be kinda like kissing a refrigerator? (Xiao Fei's comparison, not mine.) Granted a very cute refrigerator but still. Episode 10: Whew! So Xiao Fei finally gets Night back. He is all full of devotion again, for her that is and not for Mei Jia. But still how can you like a guy like that? He's just doing what he's programmed to do. So if she doesn't want him taken away from her again she has to "do it" with him?? I'd say hey whoever can take him away from me congrats and just let him go. I don't see where this drama is going here. What is the message we're supposed to get? A girl needs to sleep with a guy to keep him?? Geez!! Getting a little annoying?... She better not! And especially with a robot?... ugh!!...

Good Question... Where IS this drama going?!?!? Sleeping with someone just to keep them- yeah, great message! I think this drama could be a whole lot better if it just focused on how difficult it would be for a robot to conform to the ways of a human-- in ANY situation. Work, home, shopping, ect. OR maybe now that she has Night back she will realize just how empty this "love" is -- so much attention seems to be a bit stifling to me. Maybe she will realize where her true feelings lie -- with the guy next door and then we can see how difficult it will be to get Night to kiss someone else so she can get rid of him!!!!!!! Kissing a robot = kissing a refrigerator! lol Hmmmmm wonder how you heat up a refrigerator in order to "do it"?!?!?!?!

I would've killed him by now and gone to prison.
Ha - love it!!
Episode 11:
Ohmgosh, I found this episode incredibly stupid. First of all, if a girl doesn't wanna "do it" with a guy, planting them in a tropical island is not gonna change her mind. And then Night brings Zong Shi along with them in a suitcase?? And to make it stupider, the next moment Zong Shi is dragging that EXACT same suitcase and saying, "Why is this suitcase so heavy? What have you got in here?" Well, you popped outta there a minute ago so it should be EMPTY!?!?!
Then Xiao Fei goes for a walk at night. She comes across a white bunny (really creepy) and what does she do? She chases after it. What is she, five?! What in heaven's name makes her chase after that thing? Does she wanna make rabbit stew for dinner or something? Or capture it and gain herself a pet? Or perhaps make a rabbit-fur purse?? Why?? Why?? And then she falls into that hole!! Okay Alice, good job.
Okay. Then Zong Shi miraculously finds her. Wonderful! Hooray! But wait, what does he do when he does find her? Does he holler out that he found her? No. Does he tell her to sit tight and then go for help? No. He slides down the hole after her "to keep her company" of course. Great job, Boyscout! Now you can both rot in that damp, dirty hole. You deserve each other.
While they're down there waiting to be rescued cuz he didn't think of getting help while he was up there, Xiao Fei tells him she couldn't sleep so she went for a walk. He guesses it's because of him and Night that she couldn't sleep. They both marvel at how he can read her mind. Yeah, and I thought she couldn't sleep cuz she couldn't decide what to wear the next day. Oh brother!
And lastly (thank God!), if he fell for her in FOURTH grade, why in heck didn't he do anything about it until now, Stupid?!?!
I tell ya, this episode stunk!! And I did NOT like the way Zong Shi behaved AT ALL. Way too pushy at first and then way too mushy at the end. Yuck!!

I watched episode 12 late last night and was too tired to post. Now I can barely remember what it was about. Let me think...
Oh yeah, Night gets into a jealous rage when he finds Xiao Fei and Zong Shi together down in the hole. It was really spooky when he had her locked up in that cabin. For a while I thought this romantic comedy was gonna turn into a slasher horror film or something. Thankfully, he snapped out of it fairly quick. Couldn't believe she still liked him after that, though. No accounting for taste.
What else... Oh, the tiresome "first love" theme yet again. Do we really consider the boy we had a crush on in fourth grade as our "first love"?? Anyway, so now Night has twice as much reason to enrage. Goody. But then again, I'm off Zong Shi now so maybe the new guy will keep my interest going, I don't know.
Speaking of Xiao Fei chasing after a bunny and falling into a hole, I found out something very interesting at work the other day. I was looking at a patient's chart and it said this patient had a history of "Alice in Wonderland" Syndrome. None of us heard of this so we looked it up. Can you believe it - it's a condition where you see objects as much bigger or smaller than they really are. Isn't that the strangest?? And right after that rabbit-chasing episode I watched too. Strange coincidence...

I watched ep 11 and 12-- some random comments.... Thought it was so funny that when Xiao Fei was missing, Zong Shi just walks around saying her name-- wouldn't you YELL the name of the missing person?!?! Same thing for Xiao Fei-- you fall down a hole and you just sit there??? Didn't reconize Lei Wu Wu at first in his "normal" clothes, kinda miss the other outfits... Laughed when Zong Shi just "jumps" into the hole with Xiao Fei-- you would think he would go for help? Go for a rope? Then they sit in the hole and Zong Shi talks about dying-- really? Didn't think the situation was that deparate! Ep12- When Night locked her in the cabin, I was really worried-- like you I thought this was gonna get really ugly, and I would have to stop watching, made me really cringe-- didn't like that scene at all. I was suprised when they brought the "first love" guy into the storyline, and then I read your comment and I wonder if the writers felt like you did and felt they needed to add a character to make the story more interesting? I can't remember which episode it was, but in one of these, I thought Zong Shi over heard Lei Wu Wu and someone, maybe Night talking and there was mention of Night's being a robot and I thought for sure Zong Shi had heard this.....

Zong Shi did hear it, I think. But because Lei Wu Wu said something like "you'll be able to keep her happy all night cuz you're a robot," Zong Shi took "robot" to mean "very strong." At least that's how I interpreted that scene.

When I read your reply, I laughed so hard-- I just never pictured it that way, sooo when Night "does it" he does it all night because he is a "robot"-- wow no wonder Xiao Fei is afraid to do it!! (Wonder if Zong Shi is jealous!?!??!?)

I would hate me right now if I were you for making you watch this drama.
I didn't think it was possible but yes, episode 13 was even stupider than 11. It was so bad that I don't even wanna talk about it. I don't think I can continue. You tell me what you think of episode 13, Birdy. If you wanna continue I'll force myself to go on. Otherwise let's just end our misery and go onto "The Joseon Gunman."

Ok-- not a lot of time, but just a quick post (LOL- how many times have I said that and ended up with a looong paragraph?) The past few episdoes, I kept saying "I can't beleive that Jewel has not wanted to bail on this drama, "I can't beleive Jewel has not wanted to bail on this drama", "I can't beleive that Jewel has NOT wanted to bail on this drama" AND then today I check and YES-- she wants to bail!!!!! NO PROBLEM at all with that for me! There was so many things that this drama could do (IMHO) and did not-- so yes, lets bail...... Let's go on to Joseon Gunman..... (Will this be the only drama you are watching? Do you have time for another? Not sure if I do, but I was checking out KBS on the TV and they had a drama called Naeil's Cantabile-- called Tomorrow's Cantabile on Drama Fever that looks like it might be good and I know a few of the actors in it.....so just thinking......otherwise we can check it out in the future....) Better run.... one of these K-drama or K-pop is going to make me late for work

OK-- long, busy, crazy "I'm in the need of a big distraction" type of a week,so I went ahead and finished this drama.... I will say the last few episodes were better than expected-- once they got away from all the crazy stuff, all the weird stuff at work and just basically concetrated on Xiao Fei, Night and Zong Shi things were better and more interesting.... will not say more untill I hear from you and that you will not be finishing this..... Where have you been Jewel? Hope all is well....

Okay, will start a thread for "Joseon Gunman" right away. So excited!
As far as "Tomorrow's Cantabile," I would like to try it since I do like Joo Won but right now I'm still working my way through "Yi San" and "Tree with Deep Roots." Can you believe it, I haven't done K-drama in days. A record. As soon as I finish one of the two dramas I'll let you know and we can try "TC." My limit is three at one time.
Please say away. I will never watch another minute of that drama. Unless, suddenly, tragically, all other dramas disappear from the face of this earth. *biting my tongue and knocking on wood*
Whaddya mean? - I've been busy merry-making! And no, all is not well... these hangovers are killing me!! (just kidding)

Birdy, I forgot that Knov will be starting "Pride and Prejudice" sometime next month, and I really want to watch with him. Can we do that first and then "TC" after? I totally forgot about that. "P&P" has 5 stars over at DramaFever so I'm thinking it's gonna be pretty good. I love law dramas. With lots of exciting court scenes! I'm drooling. What do you think? (A while back read this book called Defending Jacob. Was so good. Very suspenseful trial scenes and all. Very good book. Not perfect but still good.)

Last comment on Absoulute Boyfriend... the last few episodes concetrated on Xiao Fei, Zong Shi and Night's relationships and it was so much better-- none of that "work" and other crazy stuff-- much better than the last few episodes but still just a mediorce drama
