Okay, I have to confess I finished it. It was really good. But don't worry I won't give anything away - i never do that. What I'll do is watch episode 12 again so we can discuss together. Will get back to you after.

Okay Birdy, re-watched episode 12.
What did you think when Kim Boong Do got shot by the arrows? I was shocked. Isn't he supposed to be transported before a weapon touches him? Wasn't that how it worked before? Is the talisman getting weaker, or should we say "angrier"? And the way he kept walking around with two arrows stuck in him!! That was a little unbelievable, guess they didn't get any vital organs...
and another thing I found a little hard to believe was the chronicle. Do history books record so accurately day-by-day accounts of all the king's and his subordinates' doings in that a great detail?? I found that hard to swallow. But otherwise I really enjoyed the episode.
onto episode 13...
p.s. hey what happened to your guy's picture??

I am up to episode 14-- but I had to watch to figure out what was happening with the talisman! I was afraid if I asked you about KBD getting hit by the arrows you wouldn't be able to answer since you already finished the drama! My thoughts on the arrow thing was that the talisman was getting "weaker" because he keeps jumping back and forth in time. At one point the talisman turned black....I 'm sure how they will do it, but I hope the writers really try to explain everything in a clear way. I'm not sure what episode it was in, but the scene when KBD and Hee Jin were at the park was so great-- her trying to get him to buy cotton candy and telling him it was spicy was so funny! When he disappeared I was as shocked as she was....going back and forth on "happy ending?" or "sad ending?".....hope it is a happy ending, I know that sounds typical, who would want a sad drama?, but I cried so much these past few episodes watching Hee Jin try to figure out what is going on, seeing the girl from the past die, the scene at the park when he reappears then disappears----you sure can understand why they ended up a couple after filming this drama, some of the scenes are sure heart breaking.

Oopsies, I actually re-watched episode 13 and described that above, not ep 12. Sorry. Just re-watched ep 14. Boy, it was good but I really hated the execution scene. Those arrows looked so scary. I could almost feel the arrows when they hit Kim Boong Do. He sure is a gambler, huh? Wonder if the king told the soldiers to try to miss the vital organs?? Felt a little sorry for the prime minister sitting there next to KBD.
the hospital scene when Hee Jin was crying on the stretcher was so sad... And their reunion at the end was very sweet. Loved the music.
will try to go onto episode 15 tonight...

Sooo I was farther along than I thought-- I watched the last episode tonight (but feel free to comment on anything, I would like to read your thoughts). I can't say I was disappointed in the ending, but I would have been been happy to see it end without them getting back together. That KBD gave up everything to save his life, erase Hee Jin's memories so she could go on living happily, ect. I was very unhappy to see him use the tie to try and kill himself, to see the cell phone work at that point, none of that seemed to be necessary or to make much sense. I see how the phone call brought them back together-- she was calling for her love to return, but after all the time travel with the talisman, using the phone just seemed weird to me. I knew it was going to be a happy ending, but I wish it wouldn't have been that way, once the talisman was burned that should have been the end of the time travel. What did you think of the ending?

Well, I had some problems with the ending but for totally different reasons than yours. I sort of understood why he felt he had to try to kill himself - because he had promised the king he would never appear in front of him again. I didn't mind the cell phone calling him back to Hee Jin because I felt the talisman was made with much love from Yoon Wol and the cell phone conveyed true love from Hee Jin. So I can see the cell phone having similar power to save him from death as the talisman did.
My problem was when Hee Jin asked how KBD had been for the past year and he said since he had a lover in each of the eight provinces time passed by pretty fast. I thought it was totally inappropriate. I mean there are times to joke and there are times not to, and that was not the right time. I mean they hadn't seen each other for a year and they might very easily not have seen each other for the rest of their lives and he says that when she asks how he had been?? He was just too cavalier for my taste, to joke at a time like that.
Then there's the kissing. I don't know... I just felt it was just too passionate and not tender at all. At that moment of reunion I felt the kiss needed to be tender and sweet and shy to show how they feel being together again after a year of separation and knowing they could very well have never met again. They were like mauling each other with their lips and I just thought they could've saved that for their honeymoon.
Ă€nother thing that sort of ruined the ending for me was the clip of the manager/friend interrogating KBD on the screen. What was that? That came out of nowhere. Here is what's supposed to be a romantic ending with the couple hugging and kissing and all of a sudden the friend is cross-examining KBD??!! I thought that was so odd. It was like they WANTED to ruin the poignant moment or something.
I actually have a few more issues with this drama but what the heck I'm gonna just let it go. Overall I did like it enough and I don't regret watching it. One disappointment was that I had expected Hee Jin to transport back to KBD's time dressed up as Queen In Hyun and cause some havoc but that never came to fruition. Oh well, that's okay... In general I liked it and I'm glad they got together again and that it was a happy ending.

I agree with a lot of what you said-- I guess the thing I disliked most about KBD trying to kill himself was that he used the tie to do it -- something that had significance between him and Hee Jin, so to use that item I thought was in poor taste, but I did think that because she has shown him what it was for -- to kiss between a husband and wife, it just might be the thing that would transport him back to Hee Jin since the talisman transported him to prevent him from dying, I thought the tie might do a similar thing-- which I thought made more sense than the cell phone call.(wish my cell phone had a signal that strong ) Yeah, that whole discussion about what he did the past year was in really poor taste, it added nothing to the drama, expect maybe it was his way to slam her about her hanging around that jerk Hang Do Min! (which although he acted liked a immature brat, he still was funny to watch-- great acting, made me wonder what he is like in his real life) For a drama that dealt with the past, I thought the kissing was over board to say the least-- something you may see in the present, but not with someone with ties to the past Overall, a good drama-- I, too thought she would jump back into the past at some point, or someone else would jump into the future instead on KBD. It would have been interesting to see her take on the past, as much as it was watching KBD's take on the present Any plans on watching another drama?

Yes, let's start another drama!! Here's my list:
monstar k-pop extreme survival full house take 2 star's lover (Bo's recommendation)
They're all either at DF or Viki. If you have a list I'd love to see it. My "to watch" list is much, much longer than above, but I narrowed it down quite a bit for us. Because right now I'm on a celebrity-story-kick.

I've already watched Monstar- it was ok, but not one I would want to watch twice. I vote we go with Star's Lover-because if it is 'Bo-recommended' it should be good! Any interest in watching "Angel Eyes"? I would prefer to watch on Drama Fever, because when I log into DF, it keeps my place so if life interrupts and I don't finish an episode it starts me back at the place I left off on, and I like the way I can check which episode I am on by looking at "My Shows" -- if this is possible on Viki without sign-up for a paid subscription please let me know, I never really looked into because I was so into watching the episode I didn't take the time to play around the web site.... If you want to watch "Star's Lover", go ahead and start a thread for it, I'm still trying to figure how I lost my avatar and how to get it back! LOL I did it! I did it! I searched and found a picture of Taeyang and made a avatar-- not the best picture, but still I did it--- now I can go and try to get some sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very nice avatar, Birdy. Hope you got some sleep... At Viki go to "Comments" as if you're going to rate a drama, it'll ask you to sign on. Then you put in a name and email addy (doesn't have to be a real one) and then afterward go to "Your Profile" and then "Activities". There it keeps track of all the dramas you've been watching and what episode you've seen last. I actually started "Angel Eyes" a while back because I love the lead girl (from "Boys Over Flowers"). But the younger version of her I found so unattractive that I had to stop watching it. I often find it hard to stick to a drama when the real lead boy and girl don't come on right away because the drama shows them in their younger years, therefore with younger actors. I usually find the younger-version actors BORING. One rare time I actually liked the younger version was in "Iljimae". The boy was sooo cute. But of course I was sooo happy when Lee Joon Gi finally appeare! But since I picked the last drama you can pick this one. We can try "Angel Eyes" if you want. It's up to you. Hope it's not too sad. Or "Star's Lover" is fine too. I started "Monstar" and I actually really like it so maybe I'll watch that on the side... tee hee...
