I just finished episode 6 too. It was so much fun!! Loved the airport scene when Kim Boong Do sees Hee Jin on the screen in her Queen In Hyun getup and sees how beautiful she is. I did find their scene together a little bit awkward... You know when she asks did he really think she was ugly and he says we're even because she thought he was a player. I found the scene cute but at the same time rather unnatural. I wonder if they did that intentionally, or if it's just me... how did you like the library scene? Where they kiss in the elevator and then again later among the bookshelves? I was really quite surprised. First off, I don't think I ever saw a girl kiss a guy first in K drama and then also so early in the drama. It was a treat. Usually getting a kiss out of a lead couple is like manna from heaven, so rare. Then I thought it was funny that Hee Jin calls him a player for the second farewell kiss when she was the one who taught him with the first one. So I guess she's a player too then... But of course the airplane scene was my favorite in ep 6. Boy, did Hee Jin put Han Dong Min in his place!! I was very close to starting to dislike her when she didn't do anything for a while. But when she spoke up though, boy did she do it right. She coulda just said he was a friend but she declares he's her boyfriend and then marches up to him and grabs his hand. And fingerlock hold at that. That scene was very cute, and the way she looked up into his face... very sweet. Kim Boong Do is the definition of "Handsome is as handsome does." At first I didn't think he was that cute but now that I've totally fallen for his personality and character, I find him super cute and absolutely adorable. Love his smile too, Birdy!! i am really liking this drama because I love the lead couple, supporting actors and the plot. But also, I love the back and forth time-travel. In both "Faith" and "Rooftop Prince" I had wished they'd do that. But here I'm really enjoying the switching from modern time to historical time and vice versa. Fun, fun, fun!!!

I agree, the airplane scene was great! I was surprised when she called him her boyfriend because I thought that might be a word he would not understand and then react strangely -- although he never seems to react strangely but just sits back and takes clues from those around him( love that about him). I thought they actually might have kissed at that point, but that would have really stirred the situation up! I LOVE the finger-lock hold-- to me it signified that they were "locked" together and would need each other to get thru any situation. I am still having problems with VIKI, last night it took me over 40 mins to get thru 30 mins of ep 7, every time I hit a commercial break it would jump me back to the beginning of the episode, I would "fast-forward" to the commercial break, have to sit thru it again (wouldn't take the chance on skipping them) and then hopefully get back to watching....sent an email to Viki with no response, so.....Knov--- any recommendations on a reliable ad-blocker to download? thanks

I finished watching ep 7 tonight (my son was able to suggest a adblocker for me and no more problems! THANKS Knov!) and I am so loving this drama. I like all the characters for so many reasons-- even Dong Min being obnoxious is "enjoyable" to watch! I originally thought the back and forth between time periods would be distracting, but it is being done in such a subtle way that it just seems natural. Fair warning Fiona, I think I am hooked on this and with the commercial problem solved I may just start watching this more and more!

Just finished episode 7 too. It was very good. Am hooked on both stories - historical and modern.
on the plane when she says "what the f***" and he says what does that mean I was very shocked. didnt expect that. And I'm pretty sure the translation was not quite right. I don't think she said "f***". I think "hell" woulda been more appropriate.
when Han Dong Min and his manager were trying to figure out who Kim Boong Do was and the guy who was with them says maybe he's an extra and the manager snaps his fingers in his face I cracked up laughing. I don't know, that scene was just so funny to me.
i don't know the whole story but when the king comes to visit Queen In Hyun and takes her hand, it was very touching. I liked that scene.
Did you not think what KBD was doing with the menu at the end of the episode sort of rude? You know blocking off HDM so he and Hee Jin could have a private conversation? That was bad table manners - my mom woulda been all over that one!
That brings to mind, what do you think about him stealing things? I was very uncomfortable with him taking that woman's purse, especially. I thought when he picked it up he was going to chase her down to return it to her. But no, he rifles through it to see what's in there and then later he's buying medicine with the STOLEN money!! I mean why did they do it so that we see the owner of the bag? Couldn't they have done it so that our hero finds a bag where the owner is long gone so that there's no way he can return it or something? I just don't like my hero being a blatant thief.

Forgot to say: So glad the Viki problem is solved, Birdy - got your warning. Go right ahead with watching more. I was actually sorta holding back cuz I didn't wanna go too ahead so I'll watch a little faster too. Regarding changing my avatar: it's cuz I have so many beautiful pix of So Ji Sub and don't know which to use. Husband and I finished "I'm Sorry, I Love You" by the way. He loved it and I loved it more. Even better second time around. My mom has the DVD now, can't wait till she watches it and tells me what she thinks. She saw "The Master's Sun" twice. She really liked it. She says she likes SJS but not nearly as much as I do. She and I were talking about some funny parts of the drama and we were laughing so hard... esp. the part when the lead girl says she thinks she can sleep with him and he says well I can't sleep with you and then how he smells her unwashed hair and says if you plan to seduce a man at least wash your hair first. Ohmgosh, my mom and I were dying laughing. i told her I wanna watch "Full House Take 2". She was like why? You didn't even see "Full House" the first one. She's sore cuz she's been trying to make me watch that drama but I won't. I can't watch anything with that Rain guy, can't stand him. Then she's been trying to make me watch "Shining Inheritance" but I can't stand the lead guy in that either so I refuse. She really really wants me to watch "He Who Came From Another Star" (?) too. She's threatening to boycott everything I suggest to her.

I finished watching ep 7 tonight (my son was able to suggest a adblocker for me and no more problems! THANKS Knov!) Sorry for the late response. Been busy lately. Glad to know you got the issues worked out. Adblock can interfere with viewing/browsing some sites but you can disable it for individual sites if necessary. I can't watch anything with that Rain guy, can't stand him. I can't stand Rain either. Anything with him in it is an automatic pass.

Hee hee, Rain will forever be "Automatic Pass" to me from now on. What a perfect summing up! finished episode 8. First off, I'm not sure about the parking lot with Kim Boong Do buying Hee Jin a car and all. And him saying driving a car is easier than riding a horse. Could a guy from Joseon time really say that? Hard to believe. And when he took that wad of money out to show Hee Jin's manager I was like, "Okay, if he robbed a bank I have to stop watching this drama right now!" Thank goodness he didn't!! And then their kissing in the car... wow!!! I don't think I saw a K drama with so much kissing. Not sure if I like it or not. I really look forward to the lead couple kissing in episode 9 or 10. It's the anticipation, you know. And I enjoy it cuz it's so rare... Oh what the heck, I've decided I like it! When Kim Boong Do gets back to his time and he gets attacked, he has short hair. But then when he wakes up with the wound on his shoulder (very bad bandaging job by the way), he's grown back his hair!! What?!?! I'm so confused. He doesn't remember anything?? How did he lose his memory?? The injury to his head?? Ohmgosh!!!

Just finished ep 8 and I am in shock! so GLAD you have watched it,too! I thought the whole driving scene was cool-he didn't just drive up and startle her, he went step by step-- for a split second, I was like "Oh, no I bet someone forgot to show him how to stop" -- of course that would make no sense because she is the main character, but for a split second I was "Ahhhhh" . I thought him buying her a car was a little over the top, but when they explained later that she had to sell her car, it made a little more sense. I, personally would have a had time buying a car, hard to believe he could do it, and hard to believe that Hee Jin's friend would help him-- unless she is a bit of a "gold digger" and was happy to see him spend all that money? When he pulled out all that money, I too was surprised, but once again they came up with a good way of explaining it, although I don't know how he figured out how to sell the sword -- maybe he was walking thru the mall one day and caught an episode of Antiques Roadshow or something? Yeah, the kissing scene in the car was great, I loved it when someone came out calling Hee Jin to come back to the set and she says "See they can't see us in the car" Loved that you said that you can't wait until the lead couple kiss in episode 9 or 10-- the anticipation and all--- and they kissed in ep8-- Was that too early for you ?!?!??!?!? Just when I thought I could not see enough episodes to keep me happy, they throw a loop in the story by having Bong Do get attacked! I actually gasped out loud when the talisman got cut in half! Too bad I am so tired, it will have to wait until tomorrow! All the same questions you have are all crashing in my head, can't decide what will happen yet, can't figure out what happened to Bong Do memory? Did he miss his "date" with Hee Jin? She must be going crazy trying to figure out what happened......It's gonna be a hard time trying to get some sleep tonight!!! Soooo I have to ask, What is it about Rain that you guys dislike so much? Don't much about him, having just recently seen him sing..... something makes me think he has a lot of attitude that's not good???

Well, I just find this Rain guy repulsive. And I feel he is a leeetle too fond of his abs. I could go on... but why? I just don't like him.
Finished episode 9. Still a little confused on why Kim Boong Do lost his memory and why Hee Jin has hers. And why shouldn't KBD and his servant know who Queen In Hyun is...?!?! And why did KBD offer Yoon Wol to be his concubine?!?!
Eeww, can't believe if KBD hadn't come into her life she would've gone back to Han Dong Min!! He really annoys me to no end, especially when he tries to be "cute". Yuck!!
Hee Jin's manager is sooo funny!! Love her expressions! So funny when she was interrogating KBD at the coffee shop in the earlier episode.

I was thinking that KBD (I like the abbreviation!) and Hee Jin lost their memories as soon as the talisman was sliced in half by the sword-- severing their link together. As far as Queen In Hyun's name, someone made a comment during an episode that sounded like she didn't get that name until after her death-- that the name was given to her to honor her in her death. Why KBD offered Yoon Wol to be his concubine I am not sure, but didn't the King offer KBD someone's third daughter as a wife to repay him for protecting the Queen and bringing the right (or was it left?) faction back into power-- and since KBD couldn't turn down the King, he would have to take Yoon Wol as a concubine if they wanted to be together-- but really to even think about taking a concubine before getting married is pretty poor taste if you ask me! Han Dong Min is really annoying, almost immature-- but the actor is doing a great job! I agree the manager is really growing on me. She is so funny-- her facial expressions and reactions are priceless. Her 180 turn about when she thought KBD was rich was great.... I am really, really, liking this, it is so refreshing to watch a drama so good that you just can't wait for the next episode!

But Hee Jin didn't lose memories of him, he just lost memories of her. That's what doesn't make sense to me. And then in her world it's like he's never been but in his world he had gone to her world - the monk refers to Hee Jin and so does Yoon Wol. Doesn't seem consistent somehow. Oh well...
finished episode 10. It was very good, enjoyed it much. I was sooo relieved when Kim Boong Do finally got the talisman back and came back to Hee Jin's world. I got so mad at the manager friend when she lied to Hee Jin about the phone call. Who is she to do that? And then when KBD and Hee Jin's eyes meet in the crowd... oh, so romantic. That sweet smile of his... and the beautiful music... I'm very happy right now...

I wonder if we are over analyzing all the stuff with the memories being lost/not lost -- maybe it would have been too hard to explain it in great detail without losing the main idea of the story -- I thought what I thought because when the talisman was split in half something had to happen -- that their world/relationship was split apart. I loved episode 10 also. I keep thinking that something would happened when KBD didn't have the talisman, like someone else would be transferred to Hee Jin's world. When KBD returned to Hee Jin and stood outside with crowd, it was romantic-his smile is perfect! I was really annoyed at Hee Jin's manager when she stopped Hee Jin from talking on the phone, but what really annoyed me was what she told Hee Jin-- that is was someone who wanted to have her pose nude-- I could not believe that the writers could not have come up with a better idea. that was just too much in my opinion.....

Hee Hee, yes but that would definitely stop me from answering the phone too though.
just finished episode 11. All I have to say is - okay, I did not know they could kiss like that on K-drama... hot, sizzling! No wonder they became a real couple...!! Very good episode. That Han Dong Min is a real jerk the way he threw the towel at our girl and the manager/friend was so cute with her questions again for our guy.
i love love love the song playing when she races to the red phone booth, so pretty. By the way, I think that same phone booth appears in the movie "He Was Cool." I love that movie, I watch it whenever I'm between dramas. That and "My Tutor Friend" and "Always."

Okay, watched episodes 12 and 13, Birdy. You watching still? I won't say anything cuz I don't know where you are. Enjoying it lots but I may have to speed up and finish it quickly or I may lose my momentum (interrupted by my beloved Super Junior!) again.

I am still one episode behind, re-watched ep 12 tonight, I agree with you about Hang Don Min-- at first I thought the writers were trying to portray him as a spoiled actor, but in this episode it was just too much-- when he was in the hospital it was like watching a 4 year old have a temper tantrum! It was over kill. I loved the scene with the phone booth! Although it kept reminding me of Dr. Who! Wonder how many phone booths are still out there in the world? A lot of the music in this drama has been really good. I even like the opening of the drama when they do sketches of all the characters. Near the end, one of the soilders (couldn't think if he had a name or what they would actually be called?) said something like "If the talisman saves his life, could it also be the cause of his death"-- makes me wonder if they are going to do something in the past that will make KBD die? All of a sudden, I wondering if this is going to be really sad ending.......
