Let me guess, Cho'e Young is protesting King U's ascension to the throne He doesn't seem too fond about a little kid becoming a king, but he's not exactly protesting. In the preview, Choi Young urges King Woo to give royal command like his father.

Okay, I've taken the few posts about the first episodes and moved them here to create a spoiler thread. Same deal as usual; anything anybody wants to post that's ahead of the KBS World broadcast airing of an episode, it goes here and only here.
Fortunately KBS World is starting the series promptly, so the episodes will air here with subtitles only a few weeks after they air in Korea.

I just finished the first episode. I like what I'm seeing. Nothing gimmicky. Mostly down to earth, even if it has some of the usual stuff, like a radical protagonist angry at the world, and corrupt government, but hey it wouldn't be a historical without one.

Up to Episode 12 so far and I have to say Lee In Yim is the best villain ever in sageuk history
He's not just your average sageuk villain who just goes around doing evil things. Everything he says sounds so intelligent and reasonable that I almost feel like everything he says is right.
Good guys here aren't just your average heroes that are perfect in everything they do. Lee Seonggye and Choi Young, for example, are shown to be very skilled war heroes, but are also portrayed to be very inexperienced in politics.

I especially love Lee In Yim's line in his introduction when he tosses food to the beggars, saying that you can't rebel if you're too adjusted to begging, strangely being simultaneously charitable and yet controlling, as if he views them like pets..
Now if only I could find the rest of the episodes subbed. So far the online links has only the first one subbed.

Episode 13
Lee Bang Won makes his first appearance. I was very pleased with his first impression. I like Jeong Mongju's portrayal in the drama as well.
