Despite the Maestro’s suspicion of Sherlock and his motives, they collude. First, Minyoung must confront her college boyfriend (Taesub), who accused her of stalking him and made her college life very unhappy. So, Maestro takes a catering order from Taesub’s baseball team, asks MY to help him deliver it and then helps her screw up the courage to tell the jerk off (and Taesub, as it turns out, really is a jerk). The Maestro crashes his car into Taesub’s precious car, making himself look like a hero, which certainly irritates the heck out of Sherlock. MY reveals Taesub’s lies, in front of his friends. Minyoung later explains to the Maestro why she was able to put that behind her; the two appear to be forming a bond.
Yiseol sees them together and asks Maestro if they are dating. She also asks him why Sherlock believes he still has to pay off the loan, when she and M both know it was already paid off. M pretends he has no clue. He tells her he can’t understand her friendship with Sherlock when she knows it was Sherlock’s fault that Do-il died. She points out that she was the driver of the car, so M must blame her as well. They are clearly becoming uncomfortable with each other.
Everything goes weird from here. Moojin has a date with Hyeri at a very fancy restaurant, where he admits he may love her. Mysteriously, she asks him to think well of her, even if she does something terrible “later.”
Arang and Moojin conspire to leave Sherlock and Minyoung alone (Moojin on his date, Arang at his other job) at the theater with no light except candles. Moojin does this by disconnecting the fuses using a timer, because he can count on Sherlock being such a putz he won’t even open the fusebox. Sherlock and Minyoung fall asleep—Sherlock sitting on the floor against the couch where Minyoung lies, both fully dressed of course—over some piecework MY is doing as a favor for Arang. The Maestro receives an anonymous text (from Arang?) and goes over to the theater to see the really very innocent scene, but he is furious, especially after he sees a partially burnt photo of Do-il, Sherlock and Yiseol from high school. (Sherlock burnt it, declaring he would stop being emotional and give them a theater production they’d be proud of.)
The Maestro springs into action and tells his thugs he’s taking over the theater. In what appears to be a connected development, Hawaii Shirt wanders into DAC and demands to be made a client, the target being waitress Hyeri. Sherlock refuses, but Hawaii makes several weird insinuations and threats, and also manages to plant a secret recorder or camera in the DAC space before he leaves. He can do this because of a distraction--Chef Mijin (inamorata of baker Darin) storms into DAC and accuses Sherlock of being a reprehensible meddler (she too received an anonymous email). He doesn’t take it seriously, telling her she got a lot of benefit from the scam and no harm whatsoever, which is actually stone-cold truth, but she warns him, he’s for it now. She also threatens Minyoung, who she is shocked to learn was personally involved.
As DAC reels from these developments, the two thugs stroll into DAC and drag Sherlock to the roof. There, they tell him he has 10 days to vacate the property in lieu of repayment. Then, the Maestro reveals himself to Sherlock as “the Boss.” They exchange words, accusations and fisticuffs. It turns out that M decided Sherlock wasn’t worth dogshate, so after Do-il's death, he took back his promise to his brother (sounds like Maestro paid the loan shark on Do-il’s behalf, then forgave the loan to Do-il). He reinstated the loan, using forgeries of Do-il’s signature, in order to control Sherlock. If S had not returned to the theater, M would have killed him already, he adds.
While these two tussle on the roof, Minyoung (looking for evidence of payment to the thugs) discovers her file for the Maestro. She’s crushed and, when Sherlock shows up, makes similar accusations to him as Mijin did earlier, especially since he knew her feelings for him. She runs out, yelling at poor Arang & Moojin in passing. As she walks down the street weeping, she is signaled by someone in a car. Next thing, a worried Sherlock receives an anonymous text message containing a photo of Minyoung, tied up and thrown down on the floor in some refuse, maybe in a warehouse. The End.

What an explosion of unnecessary crud. But no fear, I got the license plate of the kidnapper. 02-1431.
Minyoung’s first-love story almost exactly tracks Chef Mijin’s. Wouldn’t she have mentioned this at the time of that op? What DAC does to fix it is exactly the same, and Minyoung uses the same language to excoriate Sherlock as did Mijin. Everyone is suddenly talking about “interference” in other people’s lives. First Hyeri, then Hawaii, then Mijin, the Maestro and even MY. What up?
There are too many anonymous messages, one too many people planting recorders, too much introducing odd story lines late in the proceedings. This is supposed to be light and fluffy, and it’s getting dark and I do not like. The last straw, even though it actually happened pretty early, was sweet little Hyeri going all Goth in the head. I repeat, because nothing else seems to serve: What. Up.
