Again, with the fireman and the nurse. Sherlock determines--through some very questionable methods, BTW--that Haeshim is herself a cancer survivor (and this is how she met Mrs Han). Worse, Haeshim has learned that the tumor is back and she has only a 20% chance of surviving five years. So when she heard of Cheolsu’s fear of leaving someone behind, she decided it was too cruel to do the same thing to him. Although everyone else thinks they should change Haeshim’s mind, Sherlock agrees with her (because of his experience with Do-il no doubt) and says this is the end. Grandma Han begs to differ.
The Maestro’s behavior regarding Do-il puzzles Sherlock. He asks Minyoung if she knows anything of the Maestro’s previous life, but she lies and says no. Later, however, she disturbs Sherlock by telling him that the Maestro lost his brother--his hyung. [The implication is obvious, no?]
Minyoung, concerned about Yiseol’s relationship with Sherlock, sticks out her neck and assures Yiseol that Sherlock wants to do legitimate theater, he’s just in a bad circumstance right now that he needs to get free of. Yiseol seems to feel better about it, but she also tells Minyoung that she’s glad Sherlock has someone so pretty to “like” him. Minyoung is disturbed by this. Later, when the Maestro’s thugs lock her into the ticket booth to force M-Y and the M to talk things over, Minyoung tells her unwanted lover that she does NOT “like” Sherlock. He says he never asked her that, but also says they can go back to being friends like before. The thugs, foolishly misinterpreting from afar, think the two have gotten together.
Mrs Han pretends to have more spells (in which she “goes back” to her acting past), against Moojin’s advice. She stages an intervention for the lovers, and finally Cheolsu learns the truth about Haeshim’s cancer through one of these spells. [Aside: It’s hard to tell if this is a fake spell or no, but it’s very disturbing.] Cheolsu does not deal with the news very constructively.
Moojin wants to give his grandma something. So with Minyoung and Arang’s support, and by threatening to quit DAC, he convinces Sherlock to help the lovers speak with each other honestly. They accomplish this, during a fire drill, by (a) making Cheolsu believe Haeshim is jumping from the roof, and (b) making Haeshim think Cheolsu has been badly injured on the roof. Leaving aside the questionable judgment of employing such tactics during a safety drill, it works. Cheolsu convinces her they should spend together whatever time they have left, and they seal this pact by taking a literal leap of faith off the side of the building (onto a rescue pad, of course).
One other thing. Cheolsu, while drunk, calls Minyoung on Sherlock’s behalf, because he thinks this is who Sherlock was talking about in the elevator. He tells her that Sherlock loves her. She is touched that S wrote her phone number down for Cheolsu. After the fire drill plays out, she again asks Sherlock if he still likes Yiseol. Why? Because, she tells Sherlock, she thinks she, Minyoung, might like him.

When Sherlock brought the coffee to Haeshim and she smelled it (because she can’t drink coffee)—that was one of the more poignant moments in this show. The look on her face. Good, subtle acting there--although when Sherlock looked at her arm, yeah. Not so subtle. It’s funny the path being tread by Lee Jong-hyuk (Sherlock). He’s obviously a good actor, he’s playing the part very well, but when his character has to act, he’s terrible. Absolutely terrible, and everyone notices. It’s a nice schtick. But maybe he’s better on stage than in real life “acting” lol.
And what the heck was going on between the Maestro and Do-il? Very, um…interesting. I don't think we're meant to think what seems to be playing out there. Maybe it's a cultural thing.
“It’s going to be a happy ending until our death.” Awww!
