Looks like there will be some major cultural art exhibitions coming soon. A Joseon Dynasty exhibition from the National Museum of Korea will be touring starting in fall. There seems to be some conflicting information on exactly which cities are involved. In one article the exhibition is only traveling to Los Angeles, Houston and Philadelphia (see last sentence in the url). The local ABC station in Philadelphia stated it will be at the Phila Art Museum in February (but no info the Art Museum’s website yet). Joseon DynastyAnother related exhibition will take place in San Francisco, Oct 25th to Jan 12th. Asian Art MuseumAlso, there’s been some controversy over shipment of National Treasure No. 83, Maitreya seated in meditation, to New York. The Metropolitan Museum of Art is planning an exhibition, “Shilla, the Kingdom of Gold” starting October 29th. NY MetLooks like an exciting season for Korean artifacts rarely seen in the US.

I hope there are newspaper articles (with good photos!) about these exhibits. Too bad they aren't coming here.
