When Sherlock asks first love Yiseol if she remembers what she told him in high school about what it means when someone gives you a pendant, and shows her the one she gave him, she does not remember and doesn’t know what she was going to tell him then. Embarrassed, he leaves and gives the pearl necklace he had for her to Minyoung (M-Y) as cab fare. M-Y is generally unimpressed with him in this matter, as is Yiseol, who remembers very well and is secretly irritated that he didn’t ask her at the time she said it.
A new client arrives, baker Darin - the winner of Best Chef of Korea. He is in love with his fellow contestant, a brusque, self-centered woman named Mijin who owns a nearby restaurant and frequents Darin’s bakery. It’s not clear if Sherlock would have accepted this impossible task without the added goad that Darin is the taller thug’s nephew. To Sherlock’s consternation, they expect an “employee discount” – it’s such an impossibility, he might have charged triple otherwise. However, they start. With investigation, Sherlock diagnoses Darin as an “M”—masochist. He gets excited by being bossed around and verbally abused. M-Y accuses Sherlock of being a sadist, then, because he gets so happy when he is able to slap people down.
They finesse a meeting between M-Y and Mijin. Mijin decides to hire M-Y after she comes up with a good idea to save a catering account for her. However, M-Y can’t even peel a potato or crack an egg, and Arang (relieved he won’t have to dress as a girl and take M-Y’s place—Mijin won’t hire men) can’t seem to help her, so she takes cooking lessons from the Master. This succeeds. However, to her surprise, he asks her to go out with him. Sherlock, who has been outside the Master’s restaurant investigating some mysterious, masked peeping toms, happens to overhear this.

It always scares the bejesus out of me when I see people using chef’s knives to pare, instead of, I dunno, a paring knife. But that’s me.
I like the story with Moojin and waitress Hyeri. All of it. The thing with the heart rate monitor was cute, even if it was no surprise at all.
What is that little car she drives? Is it an XB? They have the identity badge covered.
So, after typing this, I see that not much happened in this episode. I did enjoy it. The actor who plays Mijin is very good, I think. Not just a pretty face. She also reminds me of the librarian from eps. 1-3, anyone else think so?
Yes. My mystery character appeared again.
