Some info about The Master's Sun from eps 1 & 2. Tae Gong Shil (Gong Hyo Jin) can see and interact with ghosts. She helps them relay messages to their loved ones. All he cares about is money. He doesn't believe in ghosts. When he was a teen, Joong Won and his girlfriend Cha Hee Joo were kidnapped. Hee Joo died then and her ghost seems to hang around Joong Won. Hee Joo might have been involved in the kidnapping. Joong Won seems to live with the guilt that Hee Joo died and he lived. It's rumored that Joong Won & Kingdom are cursed and that's why he hasn't gotten married. Joong Won thinks Gong Shil is nuts and only after his money. His uncle Do Suk Chul (Lee Jong Won) is vice president of Kingdom. Kang Woo (Seo In Guk) is the new head of security for Kingdom. He lives in the same building as Gong Shil. It seems he got a job at Kingdom so he can spy for someone. Tae Yi Ryung (Kim Yu Ri) is a model and celebrity endorser for Kingdom. She went to school with Gong Shil but they're not close. She was going to marry a soccer player but he called it off. Gong Shil showed up at the wedding with a message from his dead girlfriend and he changed his mind about marrying Yi Ryung. Now Yi Ryung wants to find out who ruined her wedding. I like the series so far. It does deal with ghosts. Some might find them scary. The only thing I had an issue with from the first 2 episodes was the scene where Joong Won grabbed and held Gong Shil by her hair. He could have easily grabbed her by the arm or shoulder. I hope he won't be the typical rich jerk for long.

Secretary Kim spots Kang Woo at Hee Joo's orphanage. Yi Ryung asks Kang Woo out. He declines but still rescues her from a mob on the subway. A phrase Hee Joo used to frequently use makes Joong Woon realize that Kang Woo is a spy for his father. She pretends a ghost possessed her. Joong Won kisses Gong Shil to show her how he got rid of the pianist's wife. Gong Shil goes with the dead boy to the auto repair shop where the criminal works and his body is being hidden. The criminal realizes Gong Shil has figured what happened and plans to kill her too. Gong Shil texts Joong Won what she discovered and her current location. The power of love allows Joong Won to read the text. Joong Won arrives at the auto shop just as the criminal is about to stab Gong Shil. Joong Won gets stabbed in the back. He's rushed at the hospital. As Gong Shil anxiously waits outside the operating room, Joong Won's ghost appears in front of her. He wonders if he's truly dead. He thinks it's unfair but tells Gong Shil "I love you" before disappearing. Joo Goon gets stabbed, Tae Yang cries------------------------------- I was going to complain about the kiss at end of ep 11. They both just stood there pressing their lips together. I was also going to complain about Joong Won being transported on his back. He was stabbed in the back after all. That all seems moot after the end of ep 12. If it were any other actor, I'd say there's NO way Joong Won is dead. But it's So Ji Sub. He has a history of playing characters that die. I'm going to try and stay positive. I choose to believe he's still alive. He'll probably just wake up with amnesia or something. Melody Day - All About MV (SBS The Master's Sun OST) Episode 13 will air on Thursday, September 19.

Info from ep 13. Only 1 episode aired this week. Joong Won is still alive but unconscious. He thinks he's dead because he appeared as a ghost to Gong Shil. Joong Won wakes up. The last thing he remembers is what happened on the stormy night before he met Gong Shil. Joong Won's aunt doesn't want anyone to talk to Joong Woon about Gong Shil. Han Na continues to stick by her side. Kang Woo informs Secretary Kim that Hee Joo was behind Joong Won's kidnapping. Han Na might have been involved. It turns out that Secretary Kim is Hee Joo's and Han Na's uncle. It seems Hee Joo was the bad twin. Han Na was the good twin. Han Na was really the one that died in the accident. Hee Joo is now living as Han Na. Secretary Kim goes to England to look for Han Na not knowing she's already in Korea. The kids from Gong Shil's building remind Joong Won about Tae Yang. The dead Hee Joo wants to borrow Gong Shil's body. Joong Won goes to see Gong Shil and asks if she's Tae Yang. ------------------------------ I was right about Joong Won waking up with amnesia. At least it was because of the deal Gong Shil made with the matchmaker. Not because of being stabbed in the back. Gong Shil's accident remains a mystery. The stuff with the twins wasn't all that clear. The dead Hee Joo really being Han Na and the living Han Na really being Hee Joo is how I understood it. I could be wrong. Seo In Guk - No Matter What MV (SBS The Master's Sun OST) The Master's Sun was extended to 17 episodes. It'll end on Thursday, October 3.

She has to find single dead women to honor the contract. Joong Won learns that Gong Shil can see ghosts, including that of Hee Joo. Kang Woo informs Joong Won that Gong Shil was helping him find the lost necklace and solve the kidnapping case. Kang Woo apprehends the guy that stabbed Joong Won and killed the boy at Kingdom. Joong Won is surprised to learn he got stabbed while trying to save Gong Shil. This leads to another meeting between him and Gong Shil. He confirms that he appeared to Gong Shil as a ghost. Nothing else gets resolved. Gong Shil and the matchmaker attend the wedding of their client. They run into Joong Won and Han Na there. Joong Won finds out from his uncle that Gong Shil is now working for the matchmaker. She tells Joong Won that Gong Shil gave all of herself to save him. He can retrieve his memories if he gets back what he lost. Joong Won regains his memory and goes after Gong Shil. Hee Joo appears in front of Gong Shil. She's about to throw the necklace away but Joong Won stops her. It's confirmed that Joong Won remembers everything now. More bickering between him and Gong Shil. Joong Won settles Gong Shil's contract with the matchmaker. Gong Shil follows coffee ghost to meet with Jin Woo. It seems that for the 3 years Gong Shil was hospitalized, they wandered around together as spirits. She wants them to travel together again. Secretary Kim is back after learning that Han Na is Hee Joo's twin. He got plastic surgery to make herself look different. Secretary Kim comes clean to Joong Won about Han Na and Hee Joo's uncle. They sit down and talk with Han Na. She claims to have had nothing to do with the kidnapping. Secretary Kim vouches for the kind Han Na. Sec Kim and Kang Woo resign. Joong Won is sure Han Na was involved in the kidnapping but tells Kang Woo he plans to let it go. He says the same to Gong Shil. Hee Joo visits Gong Shil again to ask for her help. Han Na is returning to England. Joong Won goes to the airport to confront her. All he wants is the necklace back. Han Na tells Joong Won the one he really loved was Han Na and not Hee Joo. Han Na approached Joong Won pretending to be Hee Joo. Hee Joo wanted Joong Won for herself and planned the kidnapping on her own. We get a flashback showing us that Han Na is the one that died in the accident. Everyone thought she was Hee Joo. Hee Joo was really the one behind the kidnapping. She's now living as Han Na. Gong Shil and Kang Woo set a trap for fake Han Na, really Hee Joo, to get her to confess. She admits to being Hee Joo, kidnapping Joong Won and letting Han Na die. Sec Kim appears with the stolen necklace. Hee Joo is arrested. Joong Won and Han Na say their goodbyes. Han Na doesn't want him to suffer because of her anymore. Gong Shil is leaving with Jin Woo. She pleads with Joong Won to let her go. A sad Joong Won watches Gong Shil walk away. ----------------------------------------- We got confirmation for what I suspected back in ep 13. The ghost Hee Joo was really Han Na. The alive Han Na was really Hee Joo. Glad the twins part of the story has been dealt with. We can get back to Joong Won and Gong Shil now. Those 2 have been kinda frustrating the last few eps. That tends to happen in RomComs when 2 people clearly want to be together but there's still 2 episodes left. Youme - Last One (Feat. from eps 16 & 17 Joong Won enlists Yi Ryung's help to prevent Gong Shil from leaving. Gong Shil wants to leave to find herself. No one seems to understand this. Jin Woo tells Joong Won that Gong Shil wants to find out why she sees ghosts and if there's way to stop it from happening. Joong Won lets Gong Shil leave. A year passes by. Joong Won and Gong Shil run into each other. Gong Shil claims she doesn't see ghosts anymore. Joong Won pours her a drink to celebrate. Gong Shil gets drunk and a ghost possesses her. Joong Won realizes a ghost possessed and takes her to his place. They have a crazy night together much like the one from episode 4. Joo Goon's wild night with Tae YangJoong Won learns from a drunk Gong Shil that she missed him. She wanted to meet him again without any ghosts or radar talk. Gong Shil's sister and Han Joo are now a couple. So are Kang Woo and Yi Ryung. Gong Shil moves back in to her old apartment. She made some money while she was away. She wants to buy the building. It turns out Joong Won is the new owner. Joong Won's aunt is pregnant. Joong Won and Gong Shil help the trash can ghost with his daughter's wedding. We learn that Gong Shil can see ghosts because she promised to help them while she was in a coma. Kang Woo walks the red carpet with Yi Ryung. Gong Shil invites Joong Won over. They kiss and declare their undying love for each other. The End. Tae Yang invites Joo Goon over----------------------------- Episode 16 was mostly filler. I don't mind Gong Shil leaving to find herself. I wish we had gotten more insight of what occurred while she was away. All we got was a 1 year time jump. This is my favorite series of the year. So Ji Sub and Gong Hyo Jin had good chemistry. The Hong Sisters rebounded nicely after their BIG failure. There were some hiccups after Joong Won's near death experience. That's an after thought once you've watched the final episode.

I have been reading these posts off and on as you made them and have decided to watch this drama. I have watched ep 1 and 2 so far and really like it. I was a little leary at the start when you made the comment about the ghosts and the first ghost (the grandma) was pretty scary looking, but after that it was just surprising to see them pop up all the time. The really scary part is that I actually recognize some of the actors from other dramas I have watched, usually I am not that observant! The main actor also played the main actor in the drama "Ghost" another drama I really liked. Thanks Knov!

I think you'll like the series. The male lead is played by So Ji Sub. He's my favorite actor. As you said, he was in Ghost. Gong Hyo Jin is the female lead. She was in Greatest Love.
