Began to watch a show tonight, Monday, 7/8 that ran from 10:30 to 11:30on 24-05 "Wintv" MBC. Didn't get to see the name of it as I didn't see it from the beginning. It was a historical drama with a supernatural twist. It seems that a woman running from the murderer of her father was saved from capture by a spirit who rules a wood. He's been told by a fellow spirit not to get involved in the affairs of humans but he intervenes to save this girl from capture. Can anyone tell me the name of this program? The mbc.com site has something called The Gu Family Book but it doesn't sound right to me.
Sounds to me like the first episode of the GU FAMILY BOOK. I am watching it on DramaFever now on episode 9 . It is an interesting story and if you missed a partr of Episode 1, you can see it on DF. Free - with a few ads that can interrupt every so often LOL. Somebody has to pay the light bill . . .
I can tell you it is very interesting supernatural story; it is a Mountain Spirit and can turn into an animal if neded. Don't want to say more or give out any spoier. It's based on the Gumiho legends . .
cast: Lee Seung Ki, Suzy (Miss A), Lee Yeon Hee, Choi Jin Hyuk, Lee Sung Jae, Jo Sung Ha, Yoo Yeon Suk, Lee Yoo Bi, Jung Hye Young, Uhm Hyo Seob, Kim Hee Won
description: Choi Kang Chi (Lee Seung Ki) is half human and half gumiho. His mother Yoon Seo Hwa (Lee Yeon Hee) is human and his father Gu Wol Ryung (Choi Jin Hyuk) is a mountain spirit. He was abandoned as a baby and raised among humans. Once Kang Chi discovers that he's more than human, he sets out to learn who or what he really is. Dam Yeo Wool (Suzy) is the daughter of Kang Chi's teacher and skilled with the sword.
MBCD is airing this series on Monday & Tuesday at approximately 10:25pm. Repeats are on Tuesday & Wednesday at about 5:40pm.
I received an e-mail from MBC Chicago announcing that they'll be rebroadcasting this series beginning on July 23. Twenty episodes, each 60 minutes long; the episodes will run on Wednesday and Thursday mornings at 10:05 a.m., with reruns at 1:40 a.m. early the next morning.
Attached is the PDF summary that the station provided.
