BoR, on more viewing, is hilarious in that He's Beautiful vein, which I LOVE, but which also can be kind of trying to most people. "...kind of trying to most people."? How did you arrive at that? Were you referring to...

I have waffled and waffled, but taking everyone's opinion into account AND watching both episode 1's, I say this:
I like them pretty much equally, both require a complete suspension of disbelief and common sense from the viewer, and I will watch both of them. But two things militate for Cyrano right now, with apologies to nuwildcats. 1) Cyrano is more absurdist--srlsy, it is--and that's what I'm looking for here. 2) BoR features a full-on petulant princess (Taehee--I hope this isn't a spoiler, because you peg her the moment you see her), chasing after the rich guy when he's clearly not interested and never will be, and I just can't take it this time. Enough with such shennanigans. So it's Cyrano, and I'll post episode 1 next Wednesday.
I hope we get some discussion and I hope everyone enjoys the show.

BoR, on more viewing, is hilarious in that He's Beautiful vein, which I LOVE, but which also can be kind of trying to most people. "...kind of trying to most people."? How did you arrive at that? Were you referring to... I was not being specific to the show BoR, I was being specific to the type of show that BoR and He's Beautiful both are, which are like comic books in presentation. Come to think of it, so is Cyrano, but for some reason it "reads" more realisitically to me. The style of BoR and HB is attractive to teenage girls (and me LOL), and I've noticed it rubs a lot of poeople who are not teenage girls (or me and NWC) the wrong way. That's all I meant. Knov1 has brought up a good point. Y'all, please be careful when discussing what happens in the show. You should only bring up whatever happens in the episode currently under review, or what happened in episodes earlier than that. If we haven't officially watched it yet, then you should not be discussing specific things that happen in the episode. I am of course setting up a spoiler thread where there are no rules whatsoever--except for the politeness ones of course. And I'm going to put most of nuwildcats' previous post into that. In fact, I'll do that now. Bo EDIT: I just realized I removed a spoiler for BoR and put it into the spoiler thread for Cyrano. I'm apparently toast. Be that as it may, I'm going to leave it in the DAC spoiler thread until and/if we do something (anywhere) with BoR.
