MOE Ep.5
It is clear that Jangil has had a difficult relationship with his father since Sunwoo's "accident." Busy and successful at law school, he's still trying to get Jiwon to go out with him, without much luck.
Jiwon is a very busy girl, working many jobs, but also interested in helping the blind. Among other things, she records books on tape.
Sunwoo has a hard time adjusting to being blind and remembering the past. He sometimes pretends he can see. Soomi, her father Mr. Choi and Geumjool help him out, but he's depressed and won't eat. When Geumjool takes Sunwoo to his father's cabin, he remembers everything that happened with his dad and Jangil, but pretends not to. Privately, he swears he'll never forgive Jangil.
Jangil eventually touches Jiwon's heart by helping her at one of her jobs, and she goes to a movie with him. Soomi finds out that he's dating Jiwon and looks hurt.
Sunwoo tries to get Jangil to visit by sending innocent letters, but no reply. After some time, Sunwoo agrees with Soomi to get treatment in Seoul. He asks Soomi to call Jangil so they can stay with him, and surprisingly, Jangil agrees to this.
President Jin sees Sunwoo one day and remembers the events that led to his distrust of fiancée Eunhye and best friend Taejoo. Also, PJ learns that Taejoo is in search of 'his son,' but Sec. Cha doesn't know where. Taejoo tells his own assistant that his son "looks like me--handsome" and that he's going to take him to the USA.
PJ's wife hears about a great investment opportunity with "this Moon Taejoo guy" and wants her husband to get in on it. This causes some distress in their home.
Jangil pretends joy at Sunwoo's arrival and is the perfect host. That night he offers hot milk to Sunwoo, who avoids drinking it. Soomi overhears their whole conversation. All lie awake with their thoughts. Next morning, Soomi snoops in Jangil's bedroom, then she and Geumjool take Sunwoo to the academy for the blind, where Jiwon happens to be recording a book. She passes Sunwoo in the hall, but then realizes he is "the stone-breaking-window boy," rushes back to ask if he remembers her, and is clearly shocked when Sunwoo turns to her and asks, "Are you speaking to me?"
