I listened to the songs from G-Dragon and CNBLUE-- I liked the second one from G-Dragon of the two, I really liked the one from CNBLUE "Love Light" so much I actually listened to another one from them called "Love", will have to listen to more when time permits. I really like music and I really like this thread!!! ;D Jong Hyun (Colin, Do Jin's son) and Yong Hwa (as himself, Yi Soo's former student) of CNBLUE appeared in A Gentleman's Dignity. That's creepy.

Have Nana endorse it. People will buy. Uee's reaction is priceless. Orange Caramel - Milk Shake & Lipstick [MNET 09.13.12] This song is so addictive. It doesn't help that I'm a total sucker for Lizzy and Nana (see page 5). Damn Pledis. Taking advantage of my weakness lol. This is probably ajk after viewing this thread lol.

Psy was on the morning news on NBC, and the whole NYC plaza was jumping Gangnam style! It was such fun to see! There was many, many Koreans in the audience singing along with him, and everyone was bouncing and smiling. He was on the sofa with the hosts part of the next hour too. Al Roker was teaching some Korean phrases, too, but How are you? didn't sound familiar until I accented the last syllable instead of the first in the last word. It was written like this, IIRC: Otto shim nikka? The YouTube version has had 166 million visits already (since July, I think). www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bZkp7q19f0

Unless she’s running away to go projectile-vomit somewhere, then no, not like me.
Okay, for real, and admittedly not a big k-pop guy so not very partial to the stuff to begin with...I couldn’t pin it down before but here's what especially turned me off about this Orange Caramel business. It's obviously being aggressively marketed to young teen and pre-teen girls, and whoever is doing it is trying very hard to make the performers look more Western. I don’t follow this closely but I know there have been controversies about Asian actresses getting plastic surgery on their eyes, that kind of thing. This stuff here, it just seems to be pushing it awfully far—lots of young Korean girls at that very sensitive self-esteem point in their lives being hit with the idea that it’s cool to look less Korean and more Western. Or am I making too much of it?
Some of it is just personal opinion--Korean women are so naturally beautiful, I don’t know why anybody would want to mess with that--but it just seems like maybe a line is being crossed here. Or maybe it was already crossed a long time ago and I just don’t know it.
And why do things keep coming up here in the forum that make me sound like an old geezer?

The Gangham style song was a very catchy tune-- can't say I realy liked the video, though. But I guess getting anything on TV in the US with Korean music is a good thing! ;D I listened to BTOB, FTisland, and T-ARA songs-- liked them all. The Orange Caramel was good once I listened to it with Eng subs, but didnt really like the video on this one either--I guess I look more for a video that relates more to the lyrics than this one does. Keep on posting, Knov!

The amazing thing about PSY is that he wasn't even trying to break into the international market. Gangnam Style got popular on its own. Some of it is just personal opinion--Korean women are so naturally beautiful, I don’t know why anybody would want to mess with that--but it just seems like maybe a line is being crossed here. Or maybe it was already crossed a long time ago and I just don’t know it. Plastic surgery is fairly common in Korean entertainment. Not just with women, but guys too. This is an issue I'm hesitant to get into specifics about. Whenever plastic surgery rumors get attached to an artist or celebrity, fans get defensive. We have a small board but it's the internet and anyone can read our posts. So I'll simply say, I think just about everyone in the KPOP industry is trying to be more Western (sound & look). The Orange Caramel was good once I listened to it with Eng subs, but didnt really like the video on this one either--I guess I look more for a video that relates more to the lyrics than this one does. I wasn't crazy about Lipstick at first until I watched the performance. I think I've only seen the video twice but watched the performance numerous times. I don't think it's the best song on the album but fits the cutesy image that OC seems to go for. I guess that's why they made it the title track.

The dude just showed up on Saturday Night Live, two minutes ago. They did a skit sort of mimicing the video, and then he came out as a surprise guest. Kind of a lame skit (Wow, that's big news, right?), but people got a big kick out of seeing the guy.
