YES!! Good heavens yes I would like to eat together! Seo Ji Hye, that's Queen Noguk from Shin Don. Who do I have to murder? Give me the names and I'll buy the gun. Fell hard for her in SD, what a performance. Thanks for the heads-up . This will start right around when we're done with Kingdom--so assuming it airs on a regular schedule here on 24.5 then let's do a board for it. I'll check with the MBC Chicago office when it gets closer. Wow, first time I've seen you do a board for a non-historical setting drama.

I goofed around with one of the daily drams when Chicago first got KBS back on the air a few years ago, but you're right I'd rather just do the historicals.
If knov is going to watch and wants to set it up, that's fine with me...I just offered because I'm definitely going to watch it.

If knov is going to watch and wants to set it up, that's fine with me...I just offered because I'm definitely going to watch it. I plan to check out the series. I just don't know how or when. Everything I've watched the past few years has been a completed series. I need to figure out what my options are for watching a current drama.

These days its more likely to end up on Nerflix than MBC America, both MBC and KBS are leasing programs to Netflix, honestly have not watched either network, for a couple of years . The programming is terrible compared to how it used to be .

I have been watching Kirin Ga Kuru, the new Taiga Drama about Akechi Mitsuhide(The man who killed Oda Nobunaga), i like it a lot. I wish we had a decent Korean historical instead of crap like Queen Cheorin.

If these networks are going to revisit old ground, I just wish one of them would do a really definitive version of the Sado story. If you want a Sado story, I recommend watching 2015 film The Throne. It's a traditional historical and is the closest to real history out of any Sado related historicals I watched. So nothing about the Korean War this year? Because this year is the 70th anniversary of when it started. Don't want to get political but it might have to do with the current Korean government being very soft on North Korea. Hard-liners were in charge in the year of 60th anniversary(2010) thus the reason we had 2 Korean War dramas that year.

I have been watching Kirin Ga Kuru, the new Taiga Drama about Akechi Mitsuhide(The man who killed Oda Nobunaga), i like it a lot. I wish we had a decent Korean historical instead of crap like Queen Cheorin. I just started watching this one, and the beginning of the first episode reminded me of something that really bugs me about the battle scenes in these (and Korean) dramas. Nobody ever shoots the horses. Yes, yes, I know it's cruelty to animals and would be hard to film humanely. But for heavens' sake, one side is on horses, the other side is on foot. You've got the archers. Shoot the horses first. And in the case of the opening of Kirin, the bandits wouldn't have been able to get away with the rice so easily. In Kingdom of the Winds, there was a battle where the bad guys had chariots and the good guys didn't. "Gee, how can we defeat an army with chariots?" Answer: shoot the horses. In real warfare, did armies really prize the lives of horses above the lives of their men?
