Ep76-
DS+2 make frantic plans to stymie the assassination at the training grounds, but may be too late--the lights are being put out. San spies the wallcrawlers [their shiny shiny swords held out before them, twinkling], who leap on some Dragon Guards in the dark, kill them and move to San's viewing platform.
DS+2 ride—well, run, actually--to the rescue, capturing the assassins and shooting off warning cannons. Later, the army men and (separately) Sir Choi and the other Norons are captured. Sir Min, dragged out, sees Officer Suh and is shocked when San arrives and makes it obvious to Min that he was “had.” Sir Choi and the other conspirators are dragged in. “So this is how it ends, Councilor,” spake San to Choi.
When D-S comes to arrest Tebi Mamah, she gives him a hard time and demands to see San, who suddenly arrives. T-M falls to her knees (embarrassing everyone) and begs for mercy due to her position as his grandmother. He denies her mercy; she spouts defiance and then is arrested and taken to the Tribunal. Sir Choi apparently has a plan, however, which he earlier told T-M—the Norons will deny all her involvement since they have to die anyway, and she will stay alive to preserve the Noron party. So under torture, they avow she is innocent.
Some lesser Norons want Lord Jang to stop the decimation of their party, but they only get an earful about their duty as governmental officials and his personal threat of their arrest. Elsewhere, Uncle and Mak-soon discuss how stupid T-M is for not living quietly and keeping safe.
San visits T-M and asks her to confess, he only wants the truth, and then he’ll spare everyone’s life. She acts all haughty and says she has to stay alive as dowager queen no matter what. Later, she overhears the execution preparations and breaks down and weeps. San figures no punishment will be worse than her own memories and regrets, so he sends her back to her palace, apparently a broken woman.
Some time seems to pass. Lord Jang, retired from government, goes to the magistrate to insist on justice for some local jailed debtors. The magistrate is very disrespectful to him, then goes in to consult with his cohort in these dealings, the corrupt "secret inspector" of the police in that region. Mr Jung has infiltrated their compound however and they are arrested and the debtors freed. Mr Jung then visits Lord Jang and brings him up to date on this and other court matters.
San scopes out a reservoir for Suwon. Also, Dae-su is promoted to Grand Commander (head of the Dragon Guard) and similar promotions are given to Kang (Royal Guard) & Suh (Defense Guard). (Uncle uses D-S’s promotion to get free stuff.) At Dowahseo, Artist Lee is certain he’s due to be promoted to Chief Artist, much to Artist Tak’s dismay and anger. They wrestle over it.
The boys are promoted. D-S brings his promotion to Song’s grave to show to her. Late at night, San receives word that his mother needs to speak with him urgently. As he leaves his office, he starts to faint but recovers.

Dunno, seems to me T-M didn’t want to do it, but Sir Choi had talked her into it. It seemed like she was regretting it already when San talked to her, and when she broke down I almost felt sorry for her.
It looks like Chobi’s either a free agent in the palace or has gone to work for Hyeoui, eh?
I thought about something during the blackout scene. There’s San, all dressed in battle gear (being commander in chief), ready to pull his sword and start some K-F fighting, but NONE of the ministers is similarly equipped. That just seems odd to me. I would think a number of them—probably most—would be scholars, but wouldn’t there be a few who also would be trained as fighters, just as the princes of the kingdom clearly were? Even one or two?
