This thread is for discussion of episode 3 of The Musical. Please check the drama info & schedule thread for more info and rules on how to avoid spoilers and such.
---------------------------------------------------------
On the train ride back to Seoul, Jae Yi tries to kiss Eun Bi. She doesn't let him by putting her hands over her lips. There's awkwardness between them after but they talk about it over breakfast and choose to focus on Eun Bi's training.
Jin has to clean up his cousin's mess at the company. He covers for Jae Joon but his uncle acts like it's all Jin's fault.
Kang Hee pays Jae Yi a visit and runs into him and Eun Bi practicing. Despite being married to President Han, she still doesn't seem to have forgotten Jae Yi. He wants to move on. Jae Yi later explains to Eun Bi that Kang Hee used to be a special person to him.
On the day of the competition, Eun Bi, Bok Ja and their group perform excerpts from "Chung Dang Dong Nine Tails" for President Han, Kang Hee and Jin. They're initially impressed with their performance until Kang Hee asks Eun Bi to sing her song in a different key. Eun Bi sings badly and receives harsh criticism from Kang Hee. Even after Kang Hee's harshness, Eun Bi still seeks her out to get her autograph.
Jin is moved by Eun Bi and wants to make a full production of their musical. Kang Hee tells Jin that he might not want to work with them once he learns who wrote the songs. After doing some digging, Jin learns that it was Jae Yi that wrote the songs but still wants to back their musical. Jae Yi learns about Jin's decision, even after finding out who wrote the songs, and goes to Jin's office to confront him.
---------------------------------------------------------
I feel like they're trying to rush things between Jae Yi and Eun Bi. Instead of bringing them closer, I think they just made things awkward. You can't help but feel bad for Eun Bi though.
I'm finding Jin's side of the story far more interesting. They're being too cryptic regarding his parents but I'm curious as to what will happen now that he's backing Gu Jak's musical.
