This thread is for discussion of episode 2 of Heartstrings. Please check the drama info & schedule thread for more info and rules on how to avoid spoilers and such.
---------------------------------------------------------
Shin and Gyu Won decide to have a competition to see whose music has more soul. The loser will be the slave of the winner for a month. The Stupid go first and their performance goes off without a hitch. Gyu Won's group goes next. During their performance, the string on Gyu Won's instrument breaks and they lose.
Professor Im wants Suk Hyun to use Hee Joo for the 100th anniversary event but he doesn't want to. He wants to hold an audition and has his eye on Gyu Won. Suk Hyun tells Yoon Soo not to do the choreography for the event. That she's not good enough. In reality, he just doesn't want to work with her due to their history.
Shin learns that professor Kim died. He apologizes to Gyu Won for not showing up to the concert and explains what happened with his sister.
Shin's father is dying and wants to see him. Shin's mother lies and tells Shin a friend of hers wants to give him a guitar lesson. Shin plays along but knows what she's up to.
---------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, I don't think I'm going to like this drama. The stuff between Shin and Gyu Won is watchable. It's nothing new or great but it's worth a chuckle or two. The rest of the story I could do without. I don't know why this has gotten such positive reviews at DramaFever. The Cubs search for a new GM has been more interesting to keep track of than Heartstrings so far.
