Lost Girl had a good S2 finale. Shame on Dyson for telling Lauren to run away. He missed his chance with Bo. She's moved on. He can't deal with it and wants Lauren out of the picture. Bo & Lauren = OTP! It looks like the FX series Powers won't be starting until fall at the earliest. TNT's Falling Skies returns Sunday, June 17. GOT thread should be up this weekend.

Networks started announcing which shows were canceled or renewed this weekend. I wasn't surprised to find out that Ringer was canceled but was stunned that Nikita was renewed. I like the show but the ratings weren't all that good. I'm glad that Revenge, Happy Endings and Suburgatory were renewed. You can view a full listing of the shows that were canceled or renewed below. Shows Canceled or RenewedNetworks also started announcing shows that were picked up for the fall. Other than the superhero series Arrow [CW], the rest of the shows don't sound all that good. I might give 666 Park Avenue [ABC] and Beauty and the Beast [CW] a shot. Chicago Fire [NBC] and The Mob Doctor [FOX] will be filmed in Chicago. CBS hasn't released their fall lineup yet but you can view a listing of new shows for the other networks below. New TV Shows for Fall 2012

I'm currently watching the miniseries The Kennedys...which is about, well the Kennedys. Its just ok. Not much to say about it other than that they did well to make the actors resemble their real life counterparts
I'm also watching The Legend of Korra, a hit animated series on Nickelodeon. Honestly, no other American cartoon has the same high quality as this one (aside from its predecessor and the DCAU)

ABC is planning on moving Revenge to Sunday and Happy Endings to Tuesday. Happy Endings moving to Tuesday I'm OK with. I'd prefer they kept it on Wednesday's after Modern Family but I can live with the move to Tuesday. Moving Revenge to Sunday makes no sense. It'll have to compete with Sunday Night Football, Boardwalk Empire, Walking Dead and Lost Girl. Then, come spring it'll also have Game of Thrones and Mad Men to contend with. Seriously, ABC, WTF?

The crazy adventures of Sookie Stackhouse aka True Blood returns to HBO on Sunday, June 10. This was one of my favorite shows from S1 to S3. I thought S4 was a disappointment. I don't have much hope for S5 but I'll give the show another shot. True Blood S5 TrailerThe Korean cable network OCN will begin airing episodes of the ABC drama Revenge on Thursday, June 7. For those of you that aren't familiar with Revenge, it's about a young woman out for revenge against those who framed her father. She takes on another identity to get close to her enemies and bring them all down. Revenge OCN official site (in Korean) TNT's Falling Skies returns on Sunday, June 17. You can view a sneak peek for S2 on the official site. Falling Skies S2 Sneak Peek

Anyone watching Hell's Kitchen or Master Chef? I've been keeping up more with Master Chef. Joe Bastianich is already in midseason form. I don't know what's worst for the contestants, when he says something and they have to figure out what he meant or when he just looks at them and walks away without saying anything. Master Chef has a blind contestant too. Four contestants are gone but she's still in the competition.
S2 of Falling Skies begins this weekend.

The new fall TV season is about to start. What are you planning on watching? I'm including premiere dates for shows in parenthesis. Must Watch: Boardwalk Empire (HBO, September 16), The Walking Dead (AMC, October 14), Modern Family (ABC, September 26), Happy Endings (ABC, October 23), Game Of Thrones (HBO, March 31, 2013) These are my favorite shows. I don't miss a single episode. I included GOT even though S3 doesn't start until Spring 2013. To Watch: Revenge (ABC, September 30), Suburgatory (ABC, October 17), Nikita (CW, October 19), Lost Girl (SyFy/Showcase, Early 2013) These are returning shows on my "to do" list. I plan on watching them but not sure if I'll stick with them for the entire season. Revenge moving to Sunday makes it tougher for me to watch. I already watch Boardwalk Empire, Walking Dead, Lost Girl, Game of Thrones and Sunday Night Football. In all likelihood, I'll have to drop at least one of the Sunday shows (not GOT or Walking Dead). Honorable Mention: The Big Bang Theory (CBS, September 27), Person of Interest (CBS, September 27), Hawaii Five-0 (CBS, September 24) These are shows I watch on occasion but often miss episodes. We'll See What Happens: Mob Doctor (FOX, September 17), Arrow (CW, October 10), Beauty and The Beast (CW, October 11) New shows beginning this season. I'll at least check out the pilot and see if I'll continue watching or not. Boardwalk Empire S3 TrailerS3 of Boardwalk Empire begins Sunday, September 16. Bobby Cannavale joins the cast as a ruthless gangster from New York.

It will be Boardwalk ,Survivor ,Copper ,Hell On Wheels,Walking Dead and Spartacus for me .
BBC has been determined to upstage GOT which of course is based on the real life Wars Of The Roses so now BBC are going one better with a new drama based on the actual Wars Of The Roses titled The White Queen . Its adapted from the book by Philipa Gregory who wrote The Other Boleyn Girl (book was much better than crummy film ) ,To be fair BBC are only concerned about The Euro /Asian market and plan to run it up against Game Of Thrones ..do not know if it will air here as Wars Of The Roses means a Danny DeVito film to most people .But of course there are enough people here that would watch it but not against GOT ,stil it will probably go to DVD which is better because it will be uncut which would not be the case if it aired on BBC America .

Interesting. A drama about the War of the Roses vs a fantasy using the War of the Roses as a basis and inspiration.
Fun fact for those unaware. The War of the Roses was a conflict over the throne by these two families, the Lancasters and the Yorks. Now you partially see where the names Lannister and Stark came from.
