{FYI, Mr. Jung is head of the “political dept.” and he is also a spy for Younghwan Construction Group. Mr. Ahn, Taesok’s boss, is head of the “social affairs dept.” I don’t know the name of the head newsroom boss—I’ll call him “news boss”} Wujin learns, among other things, that many union members bought homes in the area just before the urban renewal project was announced. Taesok takes this evidence to the news boss; Mr. Ahn wants to go ahead, Mr. Jung keeps bringing up reasons not to. They go ahead. When Wujin airs the report about Younghwan Construction’s connection with these moving-in union members, (a) she is accused of filing a false report because she said the move-ins were “illegal” when they were merely fishy and probably unethical, (b) she and GBS are sued by Younghwan Co., which also withdraws its advertising and access from GBS; and (c) when Jaeho (her old school sunbae and crush) disappears after giving her a hugely expensive purse, she is accused of accepting a bribe from him (not clear what they think the reason is) and this is published in a daily paper (not W’s brother’s paper). The day after Wujin’s story is aired, her mom also gets a slaughtered, bloody chicken by delivery. Both Taesok and Wujin are brought up on internal affairs charges at GBS; T accepts supervisory responsibility and W is not allowed to explain. They must submit written excuses. Without Wujin’s knowledge, her dad’s construction materials business is being threatened by Younghwan; eventually he quits to keep from harming Wujin. The board of GBS want to sweep the problem under the rug and Wujin with it. T tells W he knows she’s innocent, but it might be worse that her instincts were not engaged. At the end of the episode, T is yelling at W because she said she’ll quit.
