Did you all catch the first half of this episode? Question: did you guys have an orange screen on your tv while the girl goes behind the building to do I don't know what to her wardrobe? I had an orange screen, but I could hear her voice and then it got fixed. So I'm not exactly sure what happened, all I know is that there was some kind of explosion.
Anyway, this is a really cute story and I can't wait to see how it ends. Disco Queen's (she had a hard name) hair looks so much better nice and straight vs. that very old looking perm she had. It reminded me of Miryung's mom's hair from YH.
I liked the soundtrack too, but her dance moves look really robotic.

Hi, GC. Yes, I accidentally caught this episode of DCity and really liked it, despite her crass (ahem--I'm a bit of a priss, actually) behavior after the beginning of the show. I'm setting my VCR for tonight's show. I hope it's only two episodes.
I, too, had the red (to you, orange) screen at the beginning. It's a shame, because apparently something really important happened before that explosion. It looked like she's coming out of a building, goes toward the bus stop, realizes she doesn't have a bra on--or that it became unhooked--and then . . . what? We don't know. Maybe that was her apartment building, and her husband was still in the apt. and died in the explosion?
But anyway, that guy who likes her (not too true to reality, IMO, but I'd like to think it's possible, being partial to a younger man myself) is very cute. He reminds me of someone famous (Caucasian), but I can't think who. He also looks like my cousin's boyfriend, the lucky girl.

This morning's re-airing didn't have the red/orange. She apparently realizes her bra is unhooked and goes back into the building (evidently to fix it). In the background we see the bus she was about to board leave.
In the next scene, she is getting off the next bus, very happy. She practices several cute ways of telling her husband she is pregnant, as she sees her husband (I think) through a window.
She is saying "Honey, in seven-and-a-half months, do you know what you'll be?", just as the gas explodes. This is where the red screen ended.
This explains what she meant later, about blaming things on her unhooked bra; if she had taken the earlier bus, she would have already been with her husband when the gas exploded.

Thanks for that report, Soju. That's really sad! She's not glad to be alive but still sorry that she didn't die with her husband. Oh well, I think we know it will all turn out all right.

Oh, so that's what it was called! And I went and posted that in the "My Precious Child" forum and I called it "The Dancing Queen"! Sorry guys! Wrong forum and also wrong title of the show .

I think this show was a good example of that old Rolling Stones song. She couldn't get what she wanted (the handsome new boss as a boyfriend), but she got what she needed (her spirit back).

I have to admit I was kind of disappointed that she didn't end up with the cute director, but I guess this is a lot more realistic. Also, what was up w/those dance moves? I would have thought that she would have prepared something a tad better after going to all those dance classes.

This was cute, but wow, her performance was hilarious (and a little slutty [for kbc drama standards] when she took off her shirt).

I liked the second episode. It made me cry when she told him, "I did like you," but that she was over it and was glad he didn't like her, because it made her start to live again. I am a sentimental dork.

The scene where all three of them Grandma, Daughter and Grandaughter are crying was nice too. All of them had so much stuff bottled up inside of them and needed a release. I can only hope that after DQ changed they helped her out around the house!

Quote: This explains what she meant later, about blaming things on her unhooked bra; if she had taken the earlier bus, she would have already been with her husband when the gas exploded.Ooohhh! It really does explain it. I thought that she meant that if her bra didn't come up (as if she hadn't succumbed to teenage passion) then her daughter wouldn't have been born. But this makes sense. Thanks for the clarification, Soju.
