Hiya Cadie... regarding Emperor Wang Guhn... from what I hear from other fans who wanted to rent EWG... that KBS productions have english subtitles for broadcasting but, no english subtitles on their video releases.... I'm almost sure this is correct... would love to know if anyone knows anymore about this, thanks a million Betz in Philly

Well, let us all know if you find SUBTITLED tapes to be available at a Korean video rental place. All the places I've seen (in L.A.) rent the original, non-subtitled videos only Mikey

Hi Betz and Mikey,
Both of you were correct. I looked today but couldn't find any Korean tapes with subtitles. In fact, forget the subtitles! The video stores no longer have EWG (too old). I can't even admire the pictures.

Emperor Wang Guhn was a great drama. Be prepared if you plan to rent it or buy it. If I recall it ran about 2 years if not more on TV but once you're hooked forget it. It would come on at 8pm without subtitles and then on Fridays and Saturdays they started showing it at 11 pm with subtitles but the one without was ahead by several months. Once the one w/o subtitles ended "Dawn of the Empire" started which was also a good drama. I really enjoyed the history. Once EWG ended you kind of miss the characters as well as the actors who played them. Okay, enough of this. I forgot this was the YH site. Can't wait for tomorrow's episode!
