ajk- thanks for the post! My daughter enjoyed this writting class and being on the school magazine with the same teacher so much, she cross-stitched a 5x7 picture for the teacher. She is sometimes so criticle of her work (not good enough), I figured if I posted it here and got some unbiased opinons she would beleive in herself more! She is getting there, she recently took a test to skip taking the Consumer Ed class and not only did she pass, but got the highest score ever. Can't wait for her to get to college and decide what she wants to do as a career-- writing is one of them!

BIRD> there is a movie I hope you can find. It is called Resilience and the filmmaker is named Tammy Chu. It follows a grown-up Korean adoptee who looks for his birth mother in Korea. She turns out to be an advocate for single mothers there. I saw a review of it in a publication called Korean Quarterly, which comes out of Minneapolis (I know the publishers). I think Ms Chu is a local Minneapolis filmmaker--there are a lot of Korean adoptees in Minnesota apparently, and many of them are the children of single mothers. Here is a blog post: Seoul City BlogBe careful! There is also a movie with the same title about call girls or something, to search for this one I added "Korean" to "movie Resilience"--LOL. bo

Thanks Bo, I did go to the web site and looked at this. I hope someday it comes to an area when I can see this. It sounds interesting. I laughed at the comment about searching for it online, it reminded me of the time i searched for information on marshmallow Peeps and ended up with more than I needed! LOL
