OK , I must confess: I hadn't been watching this show too closely. I admit I was turned off by all the "Mom beating her grown sons" stuff in the early going, but, as the other thread says, this show has gotten a lot better.
I think the staff of this show realize that they may have lost a lot of viewers earlier, so they are throwing in a lot of flashbacks and explanatory exposition, to help those giving it another chance get back up to speed.
And now, some relationships that have been taking their sweet time in developing, look like they're ready for prime time.
And it seems Boksil is different than I thought . . . a lot different.
OK, this board has been getting negligible traffic in the past few weeks. But, if the little blue "New" flag got you to read this message, I would suggest giving the show another shot. I may still be worthy of the calibre of the cast members.

You're right, Soju. Come on back, everyone!
I missed the very beginning of Wednesday's ep, so I don't know the ostensible setup for the long series of flashbacks (I mean, I get that someone's explaining "Jennifer's" recent living situation to her father, but I don't know why). However, I'm pretty sure I'm getting the repeat on tape as I write this, and I look forward to seeing it.
I'm really enjoying Jinpung's sweet and low-key love story, and I'm taking wagers on when she will finally stop calling him Ajussi. LOL. It's like in one of the long-ago daily dramas, when a young man fell in love with his boss but continued to call her Sonsaengnim (teacher/ma'am/boss) practically until after the honeymoon.
I can't stand to hear Daepung's voice anymore. All that yelling! Not to mention Mom, and the crying from Eunji's mom. I spend a lot of time with the "Mute" button on these days.

I’m finding it slightly amusing to see that the reaction to this show from native Koreans may have been just as negative as mine was. Maybe I’m not so out of it after all. I found this show to be so irritating that I called it quits after episode #6, but if it’s really changed for the better, maybe I’ll give it another chance this weekend. It really does have a good cast. All it needs is a good storyline to match.

And it seems Boksil is different than I thought . . . a lot different. Intellectually or her dress sense/style or both or others? Mikey, this would be a MAJOR turning point if you do give this drama another shot this weekend. You previously referred to it as follows: "I think “My Too-Perfect Sons,” is a real turkey, brimming with slapstick nonsense that isn’t even worthy of the Three Stooges". LOL It really has gotten better as it goes on.They've even extended the drama by 4 episodes.Of course, these extensions often turn out to be the worse episodes of all.

true, pilseung, but those four eps could also spell the difference between a sensible, logical ending and a hurried “everyone’s-pregnant-with-twins” wrapup. ;-)

Pilsung - In style yes, but not intellectualy, as I always thought she had a lot upstairs. But a neurosurgeon? That really caught me by surprise. Now, I'm very curious to see what drove her to give it up and be a nurse for Taepung, a quite thankless job. I don't know exactly what to make of the preview,, but her smacking Taepung across the face sure ain't the old Boksil . . . I could only think, "You go, Girl!" Maybe she will be Taepung's boss . . . That would be a good turnabout.

Yep.That really surprised me too!As we all know, specialising in neurosurgery takes extra special intellect. To think she was content for three years playing "dumb",sweet, innocent, country bumpkin(check out her frilly white socks!!) Nurse Kim.When she saw cute little kids sick and in pain, how on earth did she managed to rein in her doctor's instincts!Ah well, this is Korrywood not Hollywood so stories don't have to make sense! Regarding her style, she's got some decent dress sense. Phew! I've only liked actress daughter-in-law's dressing so far.Mama Okhee's dresses,Miran's pink outfit and the four brothers awful blue tracksuits are so bad that it's funny!! ;D
