As I recall, AOW started after a 1 week interlude after the end of DOTE here in LA.
In retrospect, DOTE was about the struggle to actually make Wang Gun's vision of an empire into a reality. Winning the war was the easy part, compared to trying to meld all 3 kingdoms together. And as I recall, then, as now, Bekjae got the short-shrift.
What struck me as interesting was that now I see how the military in AOW got out of sorts with the Wangs and kicked them out. in IE, we can see the disdain in military matters in the early Koryo court, looks like things didn't get much better.
And I too was disapointed in DOTE's lack of continuity in bringing characters over from EWG. They could have at least had the character of Wang Gun do a cameo as the dying king. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who was left scratching his head at the replacement actors...

Yeah it must have been. I did look around for it because it would have made perfect sense to watch it after EWG ended. But no luck. Apparently KBS runs it when they have marathon streaming events but no subs.
We'll definitely do it here if it appears someday. Eager to see it, maybe only second to Tears of the Dragon.
p.s. This is why I had high hopes for Kocowa. KBS can dump all of that stuff onto the site, add whatever subs they have, charge a few bucks to see it, make some money, everybody wins. What is so difficult about that? Sigh....
