I believe you're right gpaul... PLUS it was GA's big mouth that Jisu heard about her birth mom being Seonyeong. Jisu might never have known the truth if it wasn't for Yeongsun. Why hasn't this come out in the open? I'm surprised Jisu hasn't told anyone. GA just blurts everything out. She even told Grandfather about Minsu not coming home because he and Miryeong were having problems. She failed to mention all the horrible things Minsu said to his wife.

Yesterday, Gangster Aunt and her raving got me so aggravated that I actually HIT HER MOUTH on my TV - she still did NOT SHUT UP . . but I did bruise my hand . . I'm so glad I didn't have anything in my hand or I probably would be in the market for a new TV LOL .. She is running neck-and-neck with MamaDoc and Screechy Mom - is there a winner here? They are among the most annoying and obnoxious characters outside of the villains in the historical dramas LOL . . I sure hope that no REAL person would be this despicable to anyone else - in Korea or anywhere . . I thought of you today, when I wanted to hit her. She kept going on and on, ranting at so many people..... First she praises Miryeung for doing the dinner, then she spoils everyone's appetite by ranting before they can take a bite. Why do they put up with her?

They put up with her because in Korea, as in most of the world, you can't just kill Someone no matter how annoying and miserable that person is . . She doesn't listen anyway - her father has told her time and again to stay out of it but she keeps going on and on. I truly am tired of her running her mouth like she does and never having to eat her words. She needs a good case of TMJ . . MAYBE THEN SHE'D SHUT UP!

There used to be a law in Texas that said it was okay to shoot someone if you could show a good reason why they needed to be shot. BTW instead of complaining about everyone else, shouldn't she at least be making an attempt to start paying her family back some of that 90 grand??

Yes, Miryeong made the dinner...but no cupcakes. Tactical error.

I think it would take a whole watermelon and a sledge hammer to smack the entire melon into Gangster's Aunt big MAW... Maybe just the sledge hammer - she is really too much. A little bit of her goes a long, long way . . . too bad this isn't taking place in Texas - that is, unless they repealed that law that Zoroo wrote about . . .

I don't know about you but there is not one person on this planet that I could ask for 90-grand! It always amazes me in the k-dramas that these characters ask for some astronomical amount of money ... AND EXPECT A RESOUNDING YES when they do. Gangster Aunt needs a reality check. Maybe you could give her a call zorro - and while you're at it, see if she can give you some money for a pizza.

Well, that was disappointing! She saw results from a teacher's phone call. groan. I was hoping that the kids would be good together, but now she has a reason to break them up. fooey. How could she threaten Juho in front of his father, and his father said nothing about it?? "I'll make you sorry" or something like that. How could she scold Miryeong for talking back to her, but she doesn't listen to her own father? MY is only her niece by marriage, and the aunt is an immature loudmouth who doesn't deserve obedience. I've so lost patience with her! She'd better get punished before this is over!

I dislike Gangster Aunt so much that I can hardly stand to see her on the screen. I truly dislike her more than any other character I can remember and that includes Screechy mom . . I hope that someone finally shuts her up but I doubt that - we all know that by the end everything will be forgiven and Gangster Aunt will make her peace with all . . as you say GinnyCats - fiction can do what real life can't . .LOL . .

But we see that Grandpa is shutting her up more and more. He even told her to go home today.
Her husband tells her that she likes to cause trouble, and defends Shinae to her. He reminds her that she should stay out of the other's business.
Minyeong (sp?) is doing just the right thing to aggravate GA. When she's scolded, she smiles and says that she's not REALLY talking back. GA gets off on seeing the reaction of others when she blasts off her mouth. Both niece-in-law and her mother don't let her get away with that nasty mouth.

teacher, you make a great point about the grandpa shutting her up. Frankly, it's long overdue and he deserves some of the blame for her behavior. The way that the family structure seems to work, he's the one person whose authority she's duty-bound to respect. Too many times he's just sat there while she rants away.
And yes, we do see the right way to deal with somebody like that. Stay totally cool and don't give them the satisfaction of seeing your buttons get pushed. Just watching her in the show is good practice for that. I've had to learn to control the desperate impulse to shove a cupcake at the TV screen.

It looks like Aunt is starting to crack. She offered Suin a taste of the stew, and almost graciously accepted Suin's compliment before reverting to her normal self.
Judging from the preview, it looks like she will further open up when Suin tutors Shinae. I think credit should go to Miryeong, who's been softening her up, with her mild but ongoing criticism, followed by smiling sweetly and saying, "Oh, I'm not talking back". Suin is good with the quick smile, too.
It feels sort of odd to me that this show is ending in less than two weeks, rather than the usual 160-odd eps these things usually run, but I think the story arc fits this length nicely. So often in a Daily Drama, things reall start bogging down at this point. Only a few have really been able to stay interesting a full seven months. I really hope they start having more Daily Dramas be this length.

Besides being an absolute wack job, that woman is frustratingly self-centered; she'll change her views if there's something in it for her. But I have to say, that scene in the kitchen Friday (#112) was absolutely hilarious. When she's suddenly being so supportive of Suin, and even sticks up for her to Hyeonsu's mom--the way everybody is standing there gawking and staring at her like she'd turned into some kind of space alien, I couldn't stop laughing about it.
And if her change of attitude sticks, then Hyeonsu's mom will be the last of the whiny holdouts against Suin. Which sure isn't how I thought it would go. Didn't everybody think the Gangster Aunt would be the last holdout? Or maybe it's just me not knowing this type of series very well. But I like that they threw us a curve to keep things from being too predictable.
I've also enjoyed seeing the different ways that other characters have found to deal with her effectively. Suin is wearing her down with kindness; Miryeong talks back and then deflects her with a smile and denies doing it; Suin's mom showing humility; and Miryeong's mom standing right up to her. Not sure why the men tend to just let her yammer, but at least her father has been getting on her about it more lately.
