Speaking of hair, how come Doc has been in a coma forever and his hair is still jet black? He obviously dyes it (in YAMD they even joked about it) so by now, some roots should be showing.

It really is UNBELIEVABLE!!! Hyeonsu get a tongue lashing from mom and grandpa about loving Suin and Minsu does not even get a slap in the head after he lies to insurance companies, commits fraud, causes his dad collapse and is borrowing money from all his family!! The scale is a little uneven!!

Yes! I didn't think of that. They're siblings. Mother says she wants Hyeonsu to be happy so he should give up the woman he loves so he can have a nice life. Uh, huh. Why hasn't he told her that he loved Suin way back in school but he let her go (and he won't make that mistake again).

Mother says she wants Hyeonsu to be happy so he should give up the woman he loves so he can have a nice life. I just about gagged when I heard that. When one of the romantic leads "Has to leave the other because they love them so much", it's usually a long two weeks or so of moping untile they reunite. On the plus side, there's usually some nice travelogue scenes of some small seaside village .

So, if I understand this, Suin's stepmother had a husband who died, and his family took her daughter. (Doesn't she remember her daughter? Did they tell her that the daughter died??)
Then she marries a guy with a daughter.
Her stepdaughter falls in love with the nephew of her dead husband, and that's wrong??
I don't get it. There's so much made of actual blood relations. Step children aren't accepted as family, except when they're finally loved. Suin and Hyeonsu aren't really related.
Hyeonsu's mother has a different problem, because Suin is pregnant, and second, the family blames Suin's mother for her husband's death. (Why is it her fault?)

ginnycat, I thought something was mentioned earlier on that Suin's stepmother (Seonyeong) thought her baby (Jisu) had died. I can't remember exactly but whenever they show that flashback of Yongseon (Gangster Aunt) ripping into Seonyeong, I wonder if it was her idea to deceive Seonyeong about her daughter. I don't understand why the family blames her either. Did we miss something?

Seonyeong said something yesterday about, "if only ?? her husband didn't anwer that phone call". Apparently, after the call, he went out in the car. Right after that, she says that they blamed her. I expect we'll get that answered soon. (I hope)

(Vague, very vague, though) So it was her fault, somehow, but unless she did something wrong and not just ill-timed, it isn't fair to blame her.

Doesn't anyone in Korea tell the truth to others? In every one of these K-dramas, there is CONSTANT LYING and due to all of these lies, people get hurt; families are torn apart, etc. Truly, that cannot be cultural, can it? I mean I can understand SOME fudging of the truth when it's crucial to the plot but, hey, it's done in EVERY one of these stories. Wow, if you had a patent on a hand-held lie detector, you could really make money . . at least on these shows LOL. . .

Soapygram, I said basically the same thing about telling the truth, it happen in all KDramas no one tells the truth, they conviently blame others and they just let it slide, anyhow when I mentioned it I was blasted. Ganster Aunt was the one who called her brothe rbecuse her dead beat husband took her $500.00 she saved, she called everyone and the kitchen sink, brother was home with his wife becuase it was her b'day he dropped everything and ran to his sister that's when the acident accur. Auntie feels it better to blame ex wife to cover her guilt of facing up to her shortcomings.

The most unbelievable lie in K-Drama history was in You Are My Destiny -- when the father (aka the doctor in a coma in this drama) did not tell his wife that their daughter died !!!!! Now, how INSANE was that The lies in this drama are tame compared to that one!

No, Grandfather should do it. Sorry you were blasted. How can Suin's mother not tell her why Hyeonsu broke up with her? It would at least be an explanation.
