The dude needs a bobby pin or a haircut! I found the hair in the eye thing v-e-r-y distracting as well as ridiculous. With every scene in which he appeared, I kept wondering if he'd touch that hair. Who in thier right mind would walk around with hair in one's eyes? Stupid.
Yeah Dojin's "do" really annoyed me as well. Shades of Soenjerk from LON.
The only reason that comes to mind is to make DJ look more sinister compared to Mu-hyool. I'm guessing they must not want the villain to be the better looking of the two, which he was before his makeover.
I hope he has a head scarf on the next time. Otherwise he'll be fighting like Li Kaigu with only one eye. But maybe that's more than enough, as Mu-hyool was able to fight off Jebojoie with just his ears.

LOL - the only one I remember with that hair-in-the-eye-do is Veronica Lake, a movie actress from the 40s. I can't recall any battle scenes she was in though . . except for romantic ones.
im pretty sure the actor who played Dojin also played a similar rather identical role in Legend /4 Gods (pretty sure its the same actor if not they are cloned )complete with hair do . Also i have started reading the Manga (stick with tv series ,trust me too many monsters ,goblins ect )
I'm with dom, it seems to be a manga thing. If an old character has hair in his eyes, it's all combed forward over both eyes, but a young character only has it over one eye.
But I like Ducky's explanation.
From Dae Jang-geum: Sun-dol: "Are you trying to dry me up and kill me? Why do you say the same things over and over every day? Rather, come and hit me once! Aigu!" But then: Dr. Lazarus: "By Grabthar's hammer, by the suns of Warvan... You shall be avenged."
